Cars do so much more than just transport us. Our vehicles become a home away from home and a place to make memories. No one wants to buy a car that isn’t comfortable. If you’re on a budget, you may think you have to sacrifice comfort. However, Kelley Blue Book found six of the most comfortable cars available in 2019 — each for under $30,000.

1. Subaru Outback

Subaru has a reputation for safe, family-friendly vehicles that are also designed for adventure and longevity. The Outback doesn’t look like your grandma’s station wagon. With plenty of room for passengers and cargo, this super-spacious wagon also made U.S. News’ list of the most comfortable cars for 2019. The Outback’s comfortable interior includes plush upholstery, top-rated safety features, and technology add-ons without a high price tag.

2. Chevrolet Impala

The Chevrolet Impala made both KBB and Car.com’s lists for most comfortable cars. It’s easy to see why; it was designed for comfortable cruising. The 2019 Impala has plenty of interior space, plush seating, and a slew of tech features. The best part: This full-sized family car has a competitive fuel economy and an affordable price tag.

3. Nissan Altima

This midsize sedan was recently updated with a sportier look and attitude. But don’t let this fool you; it’s one of the most driver-oriented, comfortable cars on the market. It has a variety of trim, engine, and transmission options, without sacrificing tremendous performance. The Altima’s interior is loaded with tech features and high-end materials.

4. Toyota Camry

The recent redesign of the Toyota Camry includes a newfound design that’s comfortable and safe. According to KBB, its infotainment systems are “bright and easy” to use, and the rear seat is ultra-spacious. The quick and agile Camry also lets you drive with ease as it’s loaded with standard safety features.

5. Chevrolet Malibu

The 2019 Chevrolet Malibu is just as fun as its name suggests. Recently updated with more modern touches, this affordable family car ranks highly in fuel efficiency and roominess. It now comes in a hybrid model to increase its already-great fuel economy. The Malibu comes with beautiful interior finishes, plenty of legroom, and a suite of safety and tech features.

6. Honda Accord

A mainstay of Honda for decades, the Accord is not only an affordable car but a reliable one with low ownership costs. The recent redesign offers more solid handling and a more upscale feel. With a spacious interior, the 2019 Accord has a suite of standard features designed to make driving more convenient than ever. With automatic climate control, heated seats, memory settings, wireless charging, and wi-fi, it’s easy to see why the Accord is a fan favorite.
