If you want to know what it’s like to have the sun beam down on you while getting up to 60 mph from a stop in only 2.9 seconds, the 2023 Ferrari F8 Spider can make it happen. The F8 Spider is outfitted with a twin-turbo 3.9-liter V8 engine that pumps out 711 hp and 568 lb-ft of earth-shattering torque.

All of the power is put to the ground through a seven-speed automatic transmission and some crafty design engineering. According to Car Hp, “The F8 Spider also features an advanced aerodynamic system design that helps to increase downforce and improve handling at high speeds.”

The 2023 M8 Competition Convertible is not your average BMW. It has an advanced suspension that makes it stable in tight cornering situations. But when the road straightens out, the M8 Competition can get up to 60 mph in only 2.9 seconds and up to a top speed of 190. This performance is made possible by its twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 617 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque, which is more than the cars in the German automaker’s stable.

Although you probably won’t reach 200 mph on a public road with the top down, the 2023 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet can get you there. In fact, it can get you to many places in a hurry thanks to its twin-turbo 3.8-liter flat-6 engine that puts out 640 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. But if you would rather take things slow, the 911 can do that too – it just might not be as fun.

The 2023 McLaren 765 LT Spider is well-suited for a racetrack, but there’s no reason you can’t drive it on the street. After all, hearing the sound of a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine putting 755 hp and 590 lb-ft to the ground while the wind whips through the cabin is a truly unique experience. Just try to keep it below 100 mph, even though the 765 LT Spider can go twice that fast.

1. 2023 Ferrari SF90 Spider – 211 mph

The 2023 Ferrari SF90 Spider is not only the fastest convertible on this list but also one of the fastest hybrid cars in the market. That’s right; the SF90 Spider is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that’s matched up to a trio of electric motors. Combined, the powertrain produces a whopping 986 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. With that kind of power, the SF90 can get up to 60 mph in only 2.5 seconds and up to a top speed of 211 mph. Oh yeah, it’s a convertible, too, so there’s plenty of open-air fun to be had.

The fastest convertibles on the market cost a pretty penny

If you have half a million dollars burning a hole in your wallet, any of these fast convertibles can give you the most fun in the sun this Summer. Don’t worry, you can cruise around in any of them as well, but it’s way more fun to floor the skinny pedal for the best experience.
