There are a whole bunch of really great heavy-duty pickup trucks to choose from. If you’re in the market for a new extra-large truck, you have four great options and they’re all under $43,000. These are the top four heavy-duty pickup trucks, according to J.D. Power, and exactly what you’ll pay for them.

4. The 2022 Ram 2500 is one of the best heavy-duty pickup trucks

The 2022 Ram 2500 price starts at $42,775. This comes with a 6.4-liter V8 HEMI engine that makes 410 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque. The engine is powerful enough to tow up to 17,540 pounds. This is matched to an 8-speed automatic transmission. There’s also a 6.7-liter inline 6 turbo diesel engine.

There are loads of packages available to be added on to the 2022 Ram 1500. Some of these include the Bed Utility Group, which includes LED bed lighting, a deployable bed, and a spray-in bedliner. There’s also a Chrome Appearance Group which includes a chrome look to the exterior of the Ram truck.

3. The 2022 Ford F-250 is under $40,000

The 2022 Ford F-250 price starts at $37,495 for the XL base-level trim. The F-250 XLT price starts at $42,220, and the Super Duty Lariat costs $50,605. The King Ranch takes the price up a little higher, to $65,595. The Platinum costs $68,910, and the high-end Ford F-250 Limited price starts at $87,630.

The Ford Super Duty can come with one of three engines. There’s a 6.2-liter V8 available that makes 385 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque and is matched to a 6-speed transmission. Then there’s a 7.3-liter V8 that makes 430 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque and is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Finally, the F-250 can come with a 6.7-liter turbocharged diesel V8 that puts out 475 hp and 1,050 lb-ft of torque and is also matched to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

2. The 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500 is a solid pickup truck

The 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500HD price starts at $35,300. Seems pretty reasonable, doesn’t it? Well, that price can get a whole lot higher, and if you want it fully loaded, it’s going to. Opt for the Crew Cab with the Long Bed, for example, and you’re already up to $43,595. Make that a High Country with a 6.6-liter turbo-diesel V8 engine matched to a 10-speed automatic transmission and you’re looking at $76,595.

There are even premium colors. Iridescent Pearl Tricoat adds on $995. Add on the High Country Deluxe package for $1,965. This will give you some safety features like a rear camera mirror and safety alert seat as well as a technology package that includes a head-up display. It also has a safety package with forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking.

The 2022 GMC Sierra 2500 price starts at $40,200. This is for the GMC Sierra 2500 HD Pro, and it can tow an astonishing 36,000. It also has a max payload of up to 7,442. In addition, the Sierra 2500 comes with a 6.6-liter V8 engine matched to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

J.D. Power calls the 2022 GMC Sierra 2500 the number one pickup truck. It has a high overall score as well as a great quality and reliability rating and dealership experience. The Sierra 2500 has average driving experience ratings and resale rating. J.D. Power says that these ratings are based on “hundreds of thousands of independent and unbiased opinions of verified car owners.”
