Even though the Kia Telluride S trim is the most popular with car buyers, the SX Prestige X-Line is a much better buy if you can afford it. The Telluride SX Prestige X-Line offers a much greater range of features that you can’t purchase at the lower trim levels. There are also three factors that help it stand out in a rather competitive segment, and here’s why.

What does the 2024 Kia Telluride offer?

Kia updated the Telluride in 2023 with a new design, so there really isn’t anything different on the 2024 model. It has some fantastic specs, however, that make it one of the top three-row SUVs currently on the market.

For starters, Kia equipped the 2024 Telluride with a 3.8-liter V6 engine, which can generate up to 291 hp and 262 lb.-ft of torque. The base trim offers front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, as well as an eight-speed automatic transmission.

For drivers who want plenty of driving assistance features that make life easier, there is a rear view monitor with dynamic parking guidance, smart cruise control with stop and go, blind spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane keeping and following assist.

Kia really invests in the technology with a 12.3-inch touchscreen display, navigation, Kia Connect, Sirius XM Satellite Radio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and five USB-C fast charging ports.

There are eight trim levels with a price range of $41,590 to $52,185, but the SX Prestige X-Line is the trim we believe that is the most worth investing in.

The 2024 Kia Telluride SX Prestige X-Line has several unique color options

The color is one of the first things many people notice about a vehicle, and Kia really took note of this for the 2024 Telluride SX Prestige X-Line. The base trim offers seven colors, but this increased to nine on the SX Prestige X-Line.

These colors include Everlasting Silver, Gravity Gray, Dark Moss, Ebony Black, Midnight Lake Blue, Dawning Red, Glacial White Pearl, Jungle Green, and Wolf Gray. These colors range from bright whites to stunning blues, and even calming greens. The Dawning Red color is especially eye-catching.

You’ll love the ground clearance on the 2024 Kia Telluride SX Prestige X-Line

The SX Prestige X-Line can more than hold its own in the wilderness thanks to its high ground clearance. This trim offers 8.4 inches of ground clearance, which is impressive for a three row SUV that includes so many comfort features. It may not be suitable for climbing mountains or crossing deserts, but it can tackle lighter trails with ease.

While there are several SUVs with greater ground clearance, like the Ford Bronco Wildtrak which has 11.6 inches, and the Land Rover Discovery with 11.1 inches, the SX Prestige X-Line offers more than enough ground clearance. For those who are more concerned about driving in poor weather like snow or rain, the ground clearance is more than adequate.

The 2024 Telluride SX Prestige X-Line also has a 17.7 ° approach angle and 23.0 ° departure angle. Even though it’s not your typical off-roading vehicle, don’t count it out if you want to hit some trails.

Get ready to tow with the 2024 Kia Telluride SX Prestige X-Line

If you enjoy the great outdoors, you’ll love the fact that the 2024 Telluride SX Prestige X-Line can tow up to 5,500 pounds. This is enough to haul items like row boats, jet skis, a pop-camper, snowmobiles, ATVs, fishing boats, motorcycles, and much more. This trim also comes with heavy-duty engine cooling in addition to the towing capability, so you don’t have to worry about the engine overheating.

Any trim on the Telluride offers a stellar range of choices. For those who can afford the $52,185 price tag, however, it’s definitely the trim to go for.
