  • Ample space for its size

What is the 2023 Nissan Rogue fuel economy?

The 2023 Nissan Rogue pros

The 2023 Nissan Rogue gets 30 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway when equipped with front-wheel drive. Those who opt for all-wheel drive drop the Rogue’s fuel economy to 28 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway. Nissan uses a 1.5L three-cylinder engine with 201 horsepower. Combined with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), it was powerful enough for all situations. On the list of Nissan Rogue pros, the fuel economy remains a plus.

Our test vehicle was the Rogue Platinum with all-wheel drive, which saw a pretty similar 28 mpg in the city. For the most part, our test route contains a lot of traffic and city driving. We appreciated the acceleration while getting on the highway. As such, the Rogue is definitely one of Nissan’s best SUVs.

How much is the 2023 Nissan Rogue?

Second on the list of Nissan Rogue pros is the cost, which starts at $27,910. All vehicles are subject to a $1,335 destination fee, which makes the base model Rogue S $29,245. A fully loaded 2023 Rogue Platinum is $40,325 with all-wheel drive and shipping fees.

The base S and SV trims come full of features, making both budget-friendly options. Manually adjustable seats, an eight-inch touchscreen, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. Nissan also equipped it with a rearview camera, parking sensors, and plenty of safety equipment like automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, and lane-departure warning. This popular Nissan SUV has been able to sustain sales in a crowded segment, partly because of all the standard equipment offered.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the 2023 Rogue a five-star overall safety rating. It also earned the Top Safety Pick award from the IIHS.

Does Nissan’s compact SUV have ample cargo space?

Trunk space

The 2023 Rogue has 31.6 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats up. On the higher SL and Platinum trims, Nissan’s Divide-N-Hide cargo system means there is 36.5 cubic feet of space. All models have 74.1 cubic feet of space with all the rows down, making it a leader in the compact SUV segment. On the Nissan Rogue pros and cons list, the cargo space was definitely a positive. Our test vehicle had the Divide-N-Hide cargo system, which was easy and convenient. There was a deceptive amount of space in the back of the Rogue, carrying golf bags and groceries without issue.

Does the 2023 Rogue have a hybrid option?

Even though the 2023 Nissan Rogue pros include fuel economy, one of the cons is the lack of a hybrid option. Much of the competition offers a hybrid option in the lineup, which is excellent for those with longer commutes. Even though the 2023 Rogue is well-equipped, having a more fuel-efficient powertrain option would be nice.

The 2023 Rogue might not be the most exciting ride on the road, but it excels in a few important areas. If a safe and fuel-efficient compact SUV is the goal, the Rogue checks all boxes.
