The 2023 Nissan Murano midsize crossover SUV offers multiple trim levels and options. With so many choices, deciding the ideal model for your needs can be challenging. Here’s what you should know about the 2023 Nissan Murano trims to find the best one for you.

The base-model S fits the bill if you’re looking to get behind the wheel of a 2023 Nissan Murano for the lowest possible price. Starting at $33,660 with front-wheel drive and $35,360 with all-wheel drive, the S trim offers a solid selection of features.

Expect 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, roof rails, keyless entry, and a well-equipped infotainment system featuring an 8.0-inch touchscreen. The S trim also provides cruise control, multiple USB ports, and dual-zone climate control.

2023 Nissan Murano SV

Starting at $37,200 with FWD and $38,900 with AWD, the Murano SV provides all the amenities of the base model plus a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, adaptive cruise control, and heated front seats. Boosting the Murano’s style, the SV Midnight special edition adds a black front fascia, black mirror caps, black badges, and black 20-inch alloy wheels.

Despite its nearly $4,000 price increase over the base model, the SV adds numerous appealing convenience features.

2023 Nissan Murano SL

The Murano SL trim adds luxurious features such as an 11-speaker Bose audio system, heated rear seats, and a motion-activated liftgate — ideal if your hands are full when you need access to the cargo area. Other upscale tech equipment includes a 360-degree surround-view camera system, road sign recognition, and adjustable ambient lighting.

In addition, the SL provides access to available options such as a panoramic glass roof, illuminated kick plates, and black alloy wheels. But they’ll cost you extra over the SL’s starting price of $41,160 with FWD and $42,860 with AWD.

2023 Nissan Murano Platinum

The range-topping Nissan Murano Platinum adds even more luxurious features as standard equipment. They include ventilated front seats, a power tilt and telescoping steering wheel, and a panoramic moonroof. In addition, satin-black 20-inch wheels and illuminated kick plates set this model apart visually. The Mirano Platinum starts at $45,210 with FWD and $46,910 with AWD.

Which 2023 Nissan Murano trim is the best?

Every Nissan Murano trim packs the same 3.5-liter V6 and offers plenty of value. But the SL provides the best bang for your buck, says Autotrader, citing the Bose sound system and other upscale tech features. “The runner-up is the SV, which is the better choice over the base model due to its added features.”

Edmunds agrees that the SL is a solid pick, noting its leather upholstery, built-in navigation, upgraded audio system, and hands-free liftgate.

However, because the 2023 Nissan Murano is among the older midsize crossovers, Car and Driver reviewers suggest steering clear of pricier trims like the SL. Instead, they recommend the SV for its “nice mix of style and substance at an appropriate price.” They cite highlights such as “adaptive cruise control, power-adjustable front seats with heat, and remote start.”

Consumers appear to concur with Car and Driver: The most popular trim is the SV, Edmunds reports.
