Buyers of the 2023 Hyundai Palisade SUV have a choice of five trims: SE, SEL, XRT, Limited, and Calligraphy. The starting price of the 2023 Palisade ranges from $35,250 MSRP for the SE trim up to $49,200 MSRP for the Calligraphy trim. This is a slight cost increase compared to the 2022 Palisade, which has a starting base price of $33,600 MSRP.

2023 Hyundai Palisade release date

The release date of the 2023 Hyundai Palisade will be in the summer of 2022. It will be available to buy at Hyundai dealerships throughout the United States and in various international markets. The Hyundai Palisade is built at Hyundai’s plant in Ulsan, South Korea.

The 2023 Hyundai Palisade offers a rugged new XRT trim that’s geared toward outdoor adventures. Previously, Hyundai introduced an XRT trim for the Santa Fe and Tucson SUVs. 

Notable exterior design features of the Palisade XRT include rugged lower bumpers and skid plate accents, dark 20-inch wheels with rugged styling, dark grille finish, rugged lower door garnish, cross rails, black roof side rails, and body-colored outside door handles. Also, the XRT trim has a power sunroof. Inside the cabin, the XRT features black H-Tex leatherette seating surfaces.

Plus, AWD-equipped Palisade XRT models add some features for enhanced off-road capabilities. This includes an AWD lock, tow and snow modes, and a downhill brake control feature. 

What else is new for the 2023 Palisade?

Along with the new XRT trim, the 2023 Hyundai Palisade has a refreshed design. For the exterior, the SUV has a more squared-off appearance and new wheel designs. 

For the interior, the Palisade offers new convenience technology features. This includes a Wi-Fi hotspot, a higher-resolution 12-inch infotainment system screen, a Digital Key 2 Touch feature, and new Bluelink features. Also, the 2023 Palisade has a redesigned steering wheel and offers a massaging driver’s seat and heated third-row seats.

All 2023 Hyundai Palisade SUVs have a 3.8-liter V-6 engine. Mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, it generates an output of 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The Palisade can be equipped with either a front-wheel drive system or a traction-enhancing all-wheel drive system. 

For efficiency, the Palisade has an estimated gas mileage of up to 19 city/26 highway mpg. Also, the Palisade can tow up to 5,000 pounds.

The midsize SUV competitors of the Hyundai Palisade include the Kia Telluride, Toyota Highlander, Honda Pilot, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Chevy Traverse, Subaru Ascent, Nissan Pathfinder, Volkswagen Atlas, Genesis GV80, and Mazda CX-9.

For warranty coverage, the 2023 Palisade has the backing of a 5-year/60,000-mile basic warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. Also, the Palisade has a free maintenance plan, with three years or 36,000 miles of coverage.

The 2023 Palisade costs slightly more than the 2022 Palisade. However, despite the higher price, the Palisade still offers much value, especially with its many new features. Also, the new XRT trim is a nice addition to the Palisade lineup.
