There is an influx of new electric crossovers SUVs coming out, and the latest one to debut is the 2023 Fisker Ocean EV. It was unveiled this week at the Los Angeles Auto Show. With its attractive styling, impressive performance, and accessible cost, the Fisker Ocean will be a formidable challenger to the Tesla Model Y and other crossover EVs. Find out the release date, price, and specs of the 2023 Fisker Ocean EV.
When will the 2023 Fisker Ocean be released and available?
The release date of the 2023 Fisker Ocean will likely be at the end of 2022. Initially, 5,000 Ocean One launch edition models will be available to customers, followed by three trims: Sport, Ultra, and Extreme.
How much does the 2023 Fisker Ocean cost?
Fisker has already released the price information for the 2023 Ocean. The base-level Ocean Sport trim costs $37,499, while the mid-tier Ultra trim costs $49,999. Both the Ocean Extreme and Ocean One launch edition models have a starting price of $68,999. These prices don’t include the options and accessories that you can get for the 2023 Ocean. Also, some customers may be eligible for the federal EV tax credit, which will lower the price.
2023 Fisker Ocean specs: Horsepower, acceleration, and towing
The base-level 2023 Fisker Ocean Sport trim has a front-wheel drive single electric motor setup, while all of the other Ocean trims have a dual-motor all-wheel drive system. The single electric motor generates 275 hp, with a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 6.9 seconds. For the dual-motor system, the output is 550 hp, with a 0-60 mph time as low as 3.6 seconds. Also, with its partnership with Electrify America, Fisker will offer some complimentary charging. Additionally, the Ocean features “SolarSky” roof-mounted solar panels, which provide up to 2,000 miles of driving range per year.
