On the performance front, the 2022 Toyota Camry offers a choice of three engines: a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine (205 hp), a 3.5-liter V-6 (301 hp), and a hybrid (208 hp). In comparison, the 2022 Toyota Avalon offers a 3.5-liter V-6 (301 hp) and a hybrid (215 hp).

Buyers of the Camry can get the sedan with either a front-wheel drive or a traction-enhancing all-wheel drive system. However, the Avalon only offers front-wheel drive.
