The Lexus LX 600 and Cadillac Escalade are fairly evenly matched for performance. All LX 600 models have a 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbocharged engine, which doles out 409 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. In comparison, the Escalade offers two engine options. Its 6.2-liter V8 engine churns out 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, while its 3.0-liter I6 turbo-diesel engine generates 277 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque.

The towing figures of the LX 600 are not yet available for the 2022 LX 600. However, it likely has a similar maximum towing capacity as the 300-series 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser (8,100 pounds), which has the same mechanical components and platform as the LX 600. In comparison, the 2022 Escalade has a maximum towing capacity of 7,700 pounds. 

Lexus LX 600 vs. Escalade: Off-road capabilities

When it comes to off-road prowess, the LX 600 is far superior to the Escalade. For one, unlike the Escalade, the LX 600 has standard four-wheel drive for all trim levels. Also, it shares many of the same off-road features as the Land Cruiser, which is legendary for its off-road capabilities. Notable off-road features offered for the LX 600 include downhill assist control, a multi-terrain select feature, an active height suspension, an adaptive variable suspension, a Torsen limited-slip differential, crawl control, and a multi-terrain monitor.

Lexus LX 600 vs. Escalade: Safety

The Lexus LX 600 and Escalade offer a similar roster of safety-enhancing driving assistance features. This includes lane departure alert, lane tracing assist, a pre-collision system, automatic high beams, a blind-spot monitoring system, and an automatic emergency braking system.

Lexus LX 600 vs. Escalade: Interior technologies and features

Both SUVs offer a luxurious oasis inside the cabin, with premium materials, comfortable seats, and a wide array of luxurious amenities. The Lexus is especially luxurious for rear-seat passengers. For the LX 600 Ultra Luxury trim, there are opulent chairs with footrests at the rear of the cabin.

With the plentiful interior technologies, such as a Wi-Fi hotspot and a user-friendly infotainment system, the LX 600 and Escalade enable you to stay well-connected and entertained on your drives. However, the Escalade has larger touchscreens (dual 12.6-inch displays) compared to the LX 600 (upper 12.3-inch/lower 7.0-inch).

LX 600 vs. Escalade: Price/value

As of this writing, Lexus didn’t yet release the pricing information for the 2022 LX 600. However, we can take a look at the cost of its predecessor, the 2021 LX 570. The starting price for the 2021 LX 570 is $86,960 for the two-row model and $91,930 for the three-row model. You can probably expect the starting price for the base-level 2022 LX 600 model to be over $90,000, while the new Ultra Luxury trim to be over $100,00. 

In comparison, the 2022 Escalade has a lower starting price for the base model, but the higher tier trims are considerably more expensive. Its starting price ranges from $76,295 for the base Luxury trim to $101,595 for the top-of-the-line Sport Platinum trim.

Overall, the 2022 Lexus LX 600 and 2022 Cadillac Escalade are evenly matched. Advantages for the LX 600 include off-road capabilities and towing, while the Escalade offers more engine options and has larger touchscreens.
