Gas prices are so high that drivers are practically perspiring at the pump. Whether gas prices have you dripping sweat, shedding tears, or clenching your teeth and shaking your fist as the sky, Ford has a solution for you. The Blue Oval has two models in its lineup that offer an escape from the gas price fiasco that is the spring of ’22.

The Ford Maverick is the small truck that breaks all the truck rules

The 2022 Ford Maverick is the smallest pickup truck model in the Blue Oval’s lineup. Its design is novel and challenges everything consumers thought they knew about pickups. Who better to subvert the concept of the great American pickup than Ford?

The Ford Maverick isn’t as tough or as powerful as other Ford pickup trucks, but it isn’t nearly as thirsty either. It also just happens to be the most affordable Ford pickup truck. Who would have thought that Ford would produce a tiny standard hybrid pickup that starts at around $20K?

The aptly named Maverick is trailblazing. Part of its appeal as a small unibody standard hybrid pickup truck is its stellar fuel economy. The Ford Maverick achieves an amazing 42 miles per gallon in the city and 33 miles per gallon on the highway. If that can’t put a stop to gas station heartache, then what can?

The Maverick isn’t built for towing heavy loads, and its powertrain won’t excite many drivers, but this thing sips gas like a fine expensive wine, and that’s precisely what many Americans are looking for in a vehicle today.

Some drivers are so fed up with high gas prices that they’re willing to give up internal combustion engine vehicles completely. If you’re ready to make the switch from gas to electric, boy, does Ford have the vehicle for you.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E is an electric SUV with the soul of a muscle car. Many Ford fans were outraged when the Mustang Mach-E nameplate debuted because of the history of the Mustang and the sentiment behind the American muscle car. Fans didn’t want to see Ford ruin a classic. Instead, the Blue Oval gave consumers a spinoff that is developing a fan base of its own.

The Mach-E belongs to the popular SUV vehicle segment, but it still has the engaging driving dynamics of a muscle car thanks to plenty of horsepower and torque. The Mach-E GT is the quickest electric Mustang model. It goes from 0-60 miles per hour in just 3.5 seconds.

The Ford Maverick hybrid pickup truck and Ford Mustang Mach-E electric SUV aren’t typical Ford models. The Blue Oval just happened to produce two eco-friendly models right in time for one of the highest gas price hikes in American history.

Ford’s future is in electric vehicle technology. The company has gone as far as splitting itself in half and dedicating an entire division to the production and development of new electric vehicle nameplates.

According to Fordauthority.com, the Maverick has been selling well. The Mach-E electric SUV has sold well too. There’s clearly a place in the industry for Ford hybrid and electric vehicles. High gas prices make these nameplates even more desirable.
