SUVs have become more and more popular in recent years, as many families are choosing them over minivans when they need more seating and cargo space. Many people choose smaller SUVs that have a bit more space than a car yet still drive like one. Others prefer larger SUVs that have more of a van feel yet look more stylish and modern than a typical minivan. The 2021 Kia Telluride has received incredible reviews, and it is one of the top choices among three-row SUVs.

Let’s explore some of the best three-row SUVs on the market and discuss why the 2021 Kia Telluride has been picked as a top choice for families by a trusted reviewing site.

U.S. News lists top three-row SUVs for families in 2021

U.S. News is a trusted reviewing site that provides detailed analysis on cars, trucks, vans, and more. They also regularly release lists of their top picks of certain types of vehicles to help consumers decide which vehicle might be best for them.

Earlier this year, U.S. News released a list of their 12 Best 3-Row SUVs for Families in 2021. Three-row SUVs are a popular choice for families large and small, as they provide more seating room and cargo space than two-row SUVs. The 2021 Kia Telluride tops the list, and it beat out some fierce competition this year.

Some of the most notable three-row SUVs on this list, aside from the Kia Telluride, include the 2021 Mazda CX-9, the 2021 Kia Sorento, and the 2021 Hyundai Palisade. All the vehicles that made the list have excellent reviews, family-friendly features, high safety ratings, and above-average passenger and cargo space.

At the end of the day, the 2021 Kia Telluride outperformed the competition and finished with the highest ranking.

An overview of the 2021 Kia Telluride

The first impression one gets of the 2021 Kia Telluride is the exterior. This large SUV looks more like a Range Rover than something made by Kia, but Kia first made the Telluride in 2021 to compete in the full-size SUV market. Its meshed front grille looks beautiful and aggressive in the best way, and the rounded, yet angular tail lights on the rear are absolutely eye-catching. On the outside, this is a gorgeous vehicle.

On the inside, the 2021 Kia Telluride is just as incredible. The seats are made with high-quality materials, even in its base model. It simply feels like a much more expensive vehicle on the inside.

The interior is also equipped with several infotainment features that come standard, including an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment center, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and more. One can choose to upgrade the infotainment center to a larger touch screen with navigation, wireless charging, and an intercom.

Under the hood, the 2021 Kia Telluride has an impressive 3.8-liter V6 engine that is capable of producing up to 291 hp. You can also get the Kia Telluride with all-wheel drive.

The Kia Telluride’s safety features

When shopping for a family vehicle, one of the most important things to look out for is safety. The 2021 Kia Telluride tops the U.S. News list partially because of all the incredible safety features that come standard in this vehicle. The 2021 model comes with a review camera, blind-spot monitoring, forward-collision warning, lane keep assist and departure warnings, driver drowsiness monitoring, and automatic emergency braking.

Optional advanced safety features include front parking sensors, surround-view parking camera, and head-up display.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the Kia Telluride a five out of five for overall safety, it also received a five for the side crash test and four for frontal and rollover tests. When it comes to finding a vehicle that will keep your family safe, you can’t get much better than the 2021 Kia Telluride.
