George Foreman was an Olympic gold medalist boxer, twice world heavyweight champion, preacher, and entrepreneur. When he did in March 21st of 2025, his home state of Texas grieved along with the rest of the country. But one Texan took the opportunity to steal a G Wagon.

On Monday, June 16th, Atascocita Constable Deputies spotted a G Wagon and ran its plates. It turns out the SUV was stolen. So the deputies stopped it on 1960 Road East in Atascocita, Texas. When they looked into the stolen vehicle report, they were in for a surprise. The Mercedes-Benz G Wagon had been reported missing from the lat George Foreman’s estate.

You won’t be shocked to hear that the suspect driving the G Wagon had an active warrant for burglary. The deputies took the suspect into custody.

So how far did this driver make it with the stolen G Wagon? They were arrested just five miles from Huffman where George Foreman’s 45 acre estate is. For years, the champion lived in California before returning home to the Houston area.

George Foreman had an epic car collection

The G Wagon was far from the most valuable car at the Foreman estate. But it might have been the least conspicuous. George Foreman once said, ““I have been a car collector and enthusiast most of my life.” He especially loved American classics. But he also amassed large collection of valuable supercars, especially ones made during the peak of his boxing success.

The one car “Big George” said he’d never sell was his quirky 1977 Volkswagen Beetle convertible. He also admitted he usually reached for his pickup truck keys to haul all his dogs around. His collection also included:

  • 1932 Ford hot rod (with a Chevy V8)
  • 1963 Chevrolet Corvette
  • 1964 Chevrolet Impala
  • 1987 Ferrari Testarossa
  • 1991 Callaway Corvette
  • 1993 Dodge Viper
  • 2000 BMW Z8
  • 2002 Pontiac Firebird Firehawk
  • 2005 Ford GT
