Hyundai Motors keeps churning out hits, and seems like its Kia Telluride, and Hyundai Palisade SUVs are getting all the love. Although, Hyundai Motors has other compelling models in the SUV class, including the 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe. The Santa Fe exhibits style, and its robust technology features make it an ideal option for the entire family.

The 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe is surprisingly peppy

Judging by looks alone, you wouldn’t necessarily think the Sante Fe offers much pep, but it does. The Sante Fe comes standard with a 185-horsepower, 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. There’s also an optional turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 235-hp. Both engines are linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Sante Fe’s base engine is smooth, and it’s also the better choice if you value fuel efficiency. While the turbo-four offers more power, reviews for this option are mixed. Consumer Reports favors the standard engine and feels like the turbocharged option delivers its inconsistent and delivers its power in “bursts.”

On the flip side, U.S. News likes turbo-four because it’s quicker. To ultimately decide which is better, you will have to test the Sante Fe for yourself. Price also plays a serious role here; the base Sante Fe SE starts at $26,275. The SEL 2.OT that has the turbo option starts at $34,875.

The Sante Fe appeals to both parents and teens

Hyundai calls the Sante Fe its “family-first.” SUV. This claim has merit to it since the Sante Fe offers plenty of comfort and tech. The Sante Fe seats up to five people, and its standard cloth seats are quite supportive; leather upholstery is available. Furthermore, kids and even parents will appreciate the Sante Fe for its vast car cabin.

Furthermore, the Sante Fe’s long list of available features will make parents feel more comfortable as their teens take the wheel. To help minimize accidents, The Sante Fe comes with active safety features, including forward-collision warning and driver drowsiness monitoring. Parents might also want to step up to the mid-level SEL trim to get more features like a parental control system to set curfews.

The Sante Fe also offers connectivity. It comes with a 7-inch display screen, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. Other available features in this department include a larger touchscreen, HD radio, and wireless charging.
