Are you loyal to your car brand? Well, Rivian would like to challenge your devotion with a $5,000 discount. Rivian R1T discounts target owners of Jeep, Toyota, BMW, Audi, and Ford owners in an attempt to steal fans.

Major Rivan R1T discounts are offered for some vehicle trade-ins

If you want to get in on more Rivian R1T discounts then consider trading your beloved rugged vehicle in. You could get an extra $5,000 for a few 2018 or newer trucks and SUVs. It’s added to the value of the trade-in.

Rivian is offering discounts for:

  • 2018 or newer Jeep Wrangler, Gladiator, and Grand Cherokee models
  • 2018 or newer Toyota Tacoma, Tundra, Highlander, or 4Runner models
  • 2018 or newer Ford F-150, Explorer, Expedition, or Bronco models
  • 2018 or newer BMW X3, X5, and X7 models
  • 2018 or newer Audi Q5, Q7, or Q8 models

These are all rugged options with solid resale values. Interestingly, Rivian doesn’t want electric options like the F-150 Lightning or Tesla Cybertruck.

Instead of stealing people from other EVS, Rivian wants to prevent people from buying other electric vehicles. There is a little red tape to get around too.
