1 Popular Jeep SUV Is Being Rejected by Drivers
Oh, how the mighty have fallen. The most popular Jeep SUV isn’t doing so hot. It is referred to as the most awarded SUV in history, but things have changed. Dealerships are desperately trying to clear out leftover inventory.
One Jeep SUV fails to attract buyers
Well, there’s good news if you’re looking to snag an end-of-year deal on a Jeep SUV. The once wildly popular Jeep Grand Cherokee faces an incredibly high amount of leftover 2024 and 2025 inventory.
According to iSeeCars, some models struggle with 80% of leftover inventory. But there is an overall average of 0.4% and 21.3% leftover 2024 and 2025 models.
The 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee has 70.8% leftover inventory and an average price of $64,014. Dealerships could be willing to provide massive incentives to get them out of the way.
They need to hit their numbers by the end of the year and know that older models will lose more appeal as 2026 rolls around.
The 2024 Grand Cherokee sold 216,148 models, which isn’t bad. But it has only moved 154,220 SUVs during the first three quarters of 2025. Plus, it’s had two consecutive years of declining sales.
Perhaps the Grand Cherokee got too expensive for drivers. Stellantis made the shift to a luxury market, potentially alienating the core fan base of the brand.
The 2024 model has an average reliability score of 80 out of 100, while the 2025 model earned an above-average score of 81. However, critics note that the Grand Cherokee still has a reputation for being less reliable than competitors.
