Every year, automakers such as Chevrolet release new models that are more technologically advanced than their predecessors. However, one challenge is creating infotainment systems that are not only innovative but also easy to use. These systems should not be difficult for drivers to operate because safety is the priority. Consumer Reports recently praised the 2023 Chevy Traverse controls for their ease of use. Here’s a closer look.

The 2023 Chevy Traverse controls are easy to locate, reach, and use. They make interacting with and operating the Traverse’s infotainment system effortless. Drivers can easily access functions such as tuning and temperature regulation. Thanks to its simple controls, this midsize SUV landed on the Consumer Reports shortlist of “Cars and SUVs With the Easiest Controls.”

Hassle-free controls help drivers focus on the road because they don’t require much visual attention to operate. One reason for the Traverse’s simplicity is that it doesn’t rely heavily on touchscreens, which can be distracting and take drivers’ eyes off the road for too long.

Instead, the 2023 Traverse focuses on physical buttons on a high-mounted screen for easy access. Not only is this infotainment system easy to use, but it also has colorful graphics that are appealing and easy to see. In addition, the controls respond quickly, enhancing the system’s user-friendliness.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse a good SUV?

The 2023 Chevy Traverse is a capable three-row SUV with abundant features. With a starting price of $34,520, the Traverse offers a high-quality and spacious interior that provides a comfortable ride. It also has a generous maximum cargo capacity of 98.2 cubic feet.

Under the hood, the Traverse packs a 3.6-liter V6 engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission. It produces up to 310 hp and can tow up to 5,000 pounds. The Traverse is relatively fast for a family SUV, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds. Six trim models are available, each with features catering to various budgets.

Moreover, the 2023 Traverse has many safety features and advanced driver-assistance systems. Chevy Safety Assist includes adaptive cruise control, which can automatically set the SUV to go as fast as the vehicle in front of it. Among other safety features, this SUV also includes HD Surround Vision, allowing the driver to see the cabin without turning their head.

Consumer Reports also recommends these vehicles with simple controls

Apart from the 2023 Chevy Traverse, three other vehicles earned spots on the Consumer Reports list of cars and SUVs with the easiest controls.

Representing compact luxury sedans is the 2023 Audi A3, with a starting price range of $35,400 to $46,800. The A3 has a well-built cabin, excellent fuel economy, and a straightforward infotainment system.

The 2023 Honda CR-V wins in the Budget-Friendly Car category. For its $28,410 to $35,760 price range, the CR-V packs plenty of value. It has simple controls, a comfortable interior, and a heavier build than the previous model for increased safety.

Finally, there’s the 2023 Nissan Leaf, an electric vehicle with simple-to-use controls. The Leaf retails for about $28,040 to $36,040 and provides a driving range of 212 miles.
