The wagon body style has become an automotive rarity, but those seeking sedan performance with the practicality of an SUV still have options. Among them is the Volvo V90 Cross Country, the gas-powered, mild-hybrid wagon version of the S90 that rides a bit taller than the standard V90. So, how much can shoppers expect to pay for a new V90 Cross County in its base form and top trim with available add-ons? Here’s how much a fully loaded 2024 Volvo V90 Cross Country costs.

The 2024 Volvo V90 Cross Country starts at $60,445

The 2024 Volvo V90 Cross Country remains unchanged from last year save for an updated lineup of exterior paints — Vapour Grey Metallic joins the lineup and replaces Thunder Grey and Black Stone.

Shopping for a V90 Cross Country is simplified with just one powertrain offered, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder and 48-volt mild hybrid system that develops 295 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. The mild hybrid powertrain pairs with standard all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Volvo claims the V90 Cross Country will scoot from 0-60 mph in 6.1 seconds. It’s rated by the EPA for 22 city and 29 highway mpg.

The Plus trim serves as the base model, starting at $60,445 MSRP with destination fee included. As standard, the 2024 V90 Cross Country rides on 19-inch wheels and features a panoramic roof, a hands-free liftgate, and roof rails. Interior highlights include ambient lighting, leather upholstery, a 12-inch digital gauge cluster, heated front seats with driver seat memory settings and two-way lumbar support, and four-zone automatic climate control.

A Google-based infotainment system is run through a 9-inch touchscreen with Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play Store compatibility. Apple CarPlay connectivity is also standard, but there’s no Android Auto. Satellite radio is also standard.

Driver’s aids include adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, a 360-degree camera system, blind spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure alert, and oncoming lane mitigation with steer assist, all as standard.

The V90 Cross Country Ultimate starts at $66,045

Two trims are available for the 2024 Volvo V90 Cross Country, with the Ultimate model serving as the range-topper starting at $66,045.

The top trim adds rear door sun curtains, a head-up display, Nappa leather upholstery, ventilated and massaging front seats, a crystal gear selector, power driver’s seat cushion extension, powered side bolsters, and passenger seat memory settings. Additionally, the Ultimate features a Harmon Kardon sound system and 20-inch wheels.

Options and accessories for the 2024 Volvo V90 Cross Country

Both the Plus and Ultimate trims offer two “climate” packages, each ringing in at $750. The standard package includes a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, and headlamp cleaners. The Climate Pro package adds a heated steering wheel, headlamp cleaners, and integrated booster cushions for small children. The booster cushions can be purchased as a stand-alone option for $500. Side scuff plates ($985) and a luggage compartment cover ($345) are available on all models.

Polestar Engineered Optimization is available for both Plus and Ultimate trims for $1,400. These software upgrades improve mid-range engine performance, gearshifts, and throttle response. An adaptive suspension is offered for Ultimate models for $1,200.

The Harman Kardon sound system standard in the Ultimate trim can be added to Plus models for $800. A Bowers and Wilkins 19-speaker sound system is available for Ultimate models for $3,200.

Either model can be fitted with larger-than-standard wheels. Plus models can be equipped with 20-inch wheels, and Ultimate models can ride on 21-inch units for $800.

A fully loaded 2024 Volvo Cross Country V90 carries an MSRP of $75,110.
