While a Ram 1500 can handle light-duty towing and payloads, its heavy-duty stablemates provide more capacity. The first step into the Ram heavy-duty lineup is the Ram 2500, traditionally referred to as a ¾-ton pickup truck, although its payload capacity is considerably more than 1,500 pounds. If you need more capacity than the Ram 1500 provides, you’ll be interested in how much a 2024 Ram 2500 costs, both at the entry-level Tradesman and top-trimmed Limited levels.

2024 Ram 2500 Tradesman specs and pricing

Ram Trucks lists the starting MSRP for the Ram 2500 at $46,740. That price gets you into a 2024 Ram 2500 Tradesman equipped with a regular cab and an 8-foot-long truck bed, or box as Ram calls it.

While the regular cab’s seating for three adults suits some buyers, most people opt for the crew cab version with seating for six. The Tradesman crew cab model comes with a choice between the 8-foot box for $50,755 or the shorter 6-foot 4-inch box for $50,555.

The base Tradesman includes a 410-horsepower 6.4-liter V8, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and two-wheel drive. Option highlights for the Tradesmen include:

  • 6.7-liter Cummins turbo-diesel engine with a six-speed automatic transmission – $9,795
  • Four-wheel drive – $2,930
  • Chrome Appearance Group – $1,650
  • Safety Group – $2,690
  • Towing Technology Group – $2,396
  • Tradesman Level 2 Equipment Group – $2,580
  • Rear Wheelhouse liners – $195

These options, plus the $1,995 Destination Charge, brought the net MSRP of a regular cab, long box, 2024 Ram 2500 Tradesmen to $74,595.

2024 Ram 2500 Limited specs and pricing

How much is a fully loaded 2500 Limited?

The term “fully loaded” means different things to different people. Since towing and hauling fit the Ram 2500’s mission, and some options exclude others, we’ll consider options that enhance safety, towing, and comfort.

Since the 2024 Ram 2500 Limited already features the Cummins turbo-diesel engine and four-wheel drive, we’ll maximize cargo space with the crew cab model with an 8-foot box. We’ll also add the following equipment and packages:

  • Anti-Spin Differential Rear Axle – $495
  • 5th-Wheel / Gooseneck Towing Prep – $545
  • 20K Direct-Mounted 5th-Wheel Hitch – $1,075
  • Automatic-Leveling Rear Air Suspension – $1,705
  • Limited Level 1 Equipment Group – $5,950
  • Protection Group Transfer Case Skid Plate – $145
  • Towing Technology Plus Group – $1,490
  • Power Sunroof – $1,195
  • Trailer Surround-View Camera System – $995

With all options and fees added, the total net MSRP for a fully loaded 2024 Ram 2500 Limited comes in at $104,240. Is this your dream truck? Where would it take your family for your next big camping adventure?
