Police officers in Florida may have just received a break in their case involving a missing man. The man has been missing for just over a year, but officers found his work truck. It was abandoned in the woods.

Florida police find truck belonging to missing man

Do you know what happened to Ian Rogers? He went missing on August 6, 2024, around 9 AM. He was last seen leaving a home on Shadeville Road, in Crawford, in a 2019 Ram 1500

Now, after a little over a year, police officers discovered the work truck abandoned in the woods. The white work-issued truck was spotted in a remote wooded area by Old Planyk Road. It was located south of the Tram Road in Leon County.

Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO), WCSO Crime Scene Unit, Leon County Sheriff’s Office, and the Tallahassee Police Department, worked together to process the scene.

According to WCTV, it’s unclear if the truck provided any evidence or clues as to where Ian Rodgers is. He went missing after receiving a work promotion. Also, he was last seen the day before his son’s 11th birthday.

Investigators have led interviews, reviewed phone processes, and processed multiple leads. Perhaps the truck has GPS information that can help with the case. It’s unclear if foul play was involved or if Rodgers simply wanted to disappear.

As the investigation continues, anyone with related information is encouraged to contact the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office at 850-745-7100.
