The battle between automakers has always been fierce, but now Ford puts a new spin on it. Ford and Tesla seem to be in a heated race to be the automakers of choice for new EV drivers, but now, you can drive your Tesla and have your Ford, too. A unique new program allows consumers to receive an additional $1,500 discount on the Ford Mustang Mach-E if anyone in their house drives a Tesla.

What is this new Ford discount?

Ford is calling this new program the Tesla Competitive Conquest Bonus Cash, and it ends July 8. This program is pretty simple; if anyone in your household drives a Tesla, you can receive this discount. That makes it a pretty forgiving program, to ensure you drive the Ford electric vehicle.

How much can you save on a Ford Mustang Mach-E?

The Mach-E qualifies for the full federal tax credit and some coastal states offer additional money to EV customers. This means you could enjoy up to $8,500 in incentives before the $1,500 Conquest Bonus Cash. This brings your total savings to $10,000 for some models.

These savings work for leased models of the Mustang Mach-E. If you choose one of the remaining 2023 models, there’s an additional $3,000 for the Mach-E GT models, which increases the savings. Most 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E trims also offer 0% APR for 72 months to qualified buyers. Unfortunately, the 2024 model has no rebates or special financing offers.

Did Ford add anything new to the 2024 Mustang Mach-E?

The biggest change made to this electric SUV is the addition of the Mach-E Rally trim. This version is made for light off-road fun, making it capable and enjoyable where the roads don’t go. The front end receives a set of fog lights and a red tow hook, while the tailgate area has a high-mounted spoiler.

The Rally model swaps the standard tires for more aggressive ones. This gives this electric SUV the desired level of off-road fun.

In addition to the Rally trim, Ford added a new Bronze Appearance package for the GT trim of the Mustang Mach-E. This package adds a grille with bronze-colored accents and attractive bronze-colored wheels to this electric SUV.

If you think the Mustang Mach-E is the electric SUV you want to drive, and someone in your house drives a Tesla, you’ll maximize your savings when you visit the dealership to choose your Mach-E. Driving a Tesla makes buying or leasing this Ford more affordable for you; it’s kind of strange, but it works.
