The 2022 Honda Pilot Elite comes with plenty of equipment before adding any additional costs onto the bill. All-wheel-drive, heated front and rear seats, and a panoramic roof with a moonroof make the Pilot a luxury SUV competitor. It has ample technology to increase luxuriousness, without paying a dime extra.

With all of this technology as standard, it’s easy to see why the Elite trim level starts just under $50,000. There are even more optional features that can be added. Starting with the base price of $49,120, we can see just how much more the Pilot can cost.

What optional features are available?

Four different exterior colors are available without any additional cost, but the other four will add $395. More costly optional 20-inch black alloy wheels are also available, for $2,128. Adding the All-Season Protection Package I for $485 gives the Pilot just about everything the other three packages offer. Choosing it makes the other options unselectable, and saves money by bundling features.

Included in the package are all-season high wall floor mats, a folding cargo tray, and a splash guard set. There are plenty of other accessories that can be added as well. Some of the highlights we’ve added are crossbars for $240, running boards for $480, and a $384 trailer hitch. Plenty more extras can be added, but this version of the Pilot feels premium enough.

How much is a fully loaded 2022 Honda Pilot?

The fully loaded 2022 Honda Pilot costs a total of $54,455. This includes a destination and handling fee of $1,225. The all-wheel-drive Honda Pilot Elite with a 3.5-liter V6 engine in Deep Scarlet Pearl with 20-inch black alloy wheels puts the total cost at $51,643. Adding the All-Season Protection Package I, crossbars, running boards, and a trailer hitch help us reach the final cost.

We used Honda’s build & price tool, and although the cost is almost $5,000 more than the original starting price of a 2022 Honda Pilot Elite, it really isn’t that bad. There’s a ton of standard equipment included in the Elite model, making it a good value SUV. The extras we’ve chosen really bolster the options but aren’t necessary, and it would cheapen the Pilot a bit to remove them. This fully loaded Honda Pilot is a great SUV option for any buyer, especially those needing reliability, safety, and space.
