Also, the GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate is the top-spec trim, and it takes the price up to $82,940. That’s with the diesel engine. Opting for the V8 engine increases the price to $83,995. What comes standard with the 2023 Sierra 1500?

The 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 Pro starts the party with the turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine with 310 hp and 348 lb-ft of torque. This is a respectable amount of muscle, and it rides on 17-inch steel wheels.

It comes with LED headlights, automatic high beams, heated exterior mirrors, remote keyless entry, vinyl floor covers, cloth or vinyl upholstery, a tilting steering wheel, a six-speaker audio system, two USB ports, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, forward collision mitigation, and lane keeping assistance.

This feels a bit bare-bones, but the base model can also be equipped with the 5.3-liter V8 engine with 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque.

You’ll have to move up in trim levels to access the 6.2-liter V8 engine with 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. The 3.0-liter inline-six turbo diesel engine provides 277 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. Each powertrain option is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The 6.2-liter V8 is the most robust engine opinion, and it helps the 2023 Sierra accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 6.2 seconds. It’s smooth on the pavement and absorbs larger impacts well with confident brakes.

When properly equipped, the 2023 Sierra can tow up to 13,000 lbs and carry a payload of up to 2,270 lbs. The Ford F-150 can tow up to 14,000 lbs.

Pricing for the new GMC Sierra AT4X AEV hasn’t been released, but it’s safe to expect things to start around $90,000 for all of the extra off-roading equipment.

Yes, the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 is an excellent truck to consider. It’s comfortable, luxurious, and robust. It’s well equipped to get things done thanks to the multi-function tailgate and features innovative tech.

While higher trim levels get expensive in a hurry, features like the ventilated seats, adaptive suspension, rear power window, in-bed camera, two-speed transfer case, and trailer blind spot monitoring systems make a difference.

It has a tight turning radius, making it easy to maneuver in tight city areas and on off-roading trails. Plus, the AT4X trim is the most capable Sierra ever. The Super Cruise semi-automated driving system is a crucial feature we can’t forget.

The Sierra certainly deserves a chance against the Ford F-150, Ram 1500, and Toyota Tundra. Also, its Chevy Silverado 1500 twin is a slightly more affordable alternative.
