Hospital Finds Dead Body in Car Parked for Days Just Outside Its ER
Were they looking for medical assistance? Or are they a victim of a violent crime? Was it the driver, or a passenger? The Toronto Star just asked these questions, but the hospital, coroner’s office, and local police department are staying silent while the investigation kicks off.
On December 10, paramedics say they found a dead body just outside the ER
The first responders commented that it was clear the person had been deceased “for a couple of days.”
But the car was parked just “steps” away from Humber River Hospital’s emergency department doors.
How could security or other hospital staff let this happen?
“No comment” on the dead body until authorities know more
A spokesperson for Humber River Hospital declined to comment and directed all questions to Toronto police.
The police department confirmed that it, along with the Coroner’s Office, has launched parallel investigations.
A police spokesperson told the Toronto Star that further details will come only if the case points to criminal activity. Both agencies have held back additional information while they work.
We often report on similarly unfortunate findings here at MotorBiscuit. This year alone, we’ve covered multiple stories wherein cars are towed or impounded here in the U.S., only for police or lot staff to discover a dead body that’d been sitting for a luckless length of time.
In many of these cases, the person inside passed without “foul play.” In others, though, the circumstances are far less “peaceful,” if you could even really say that about such things.
