The 2024 Jeep Wrangler received a mid-cycle refresh that includes a revised grille, updates for refinement, improved ride quality, enhanced off-roading equipment, advanced tech, new paint colors, and 10 new wheel designs. The starting MSRP for the new Wrangler model is $31,895, but can quickly double with trim upgrades, packages and add-ons.

The dash and windshield have a modernized look with retro aspects that reflect the classic YB models. The digital guage cluster provides everything you need, including navigation directions, so you can keep your eyes on the road.

Let’s dive into the tech! You may notice that the Wrangler antenna is missing, but it’s actually incorporated into the more robust windshield for protection. It won’t get snagged on the trail anymore.

The mic has been improved for better voice recognition for navigation commands and phone calls while in motion.

Plus, the 12.3-inch touchscreen is vibrant with increased visibility. It isn’t washed out by the sun, so you can see your off-roading cameras, directions, stats, and more when the top is removed.

This is an improvement based on the feedback of actual Wrangler fans to eliminate the need of replacing older infotainment screens with iPads or other tablets. The larger size makes it easier to see your mapping, pitch/roll, and other info simultaneously.

While the system isn’t intuitive at first, it’s easy to learn and customize. You can place your favorite shortcuts on the home screen.

Also, the Jeep 4xe Power Box includes four 120-volt outlets with an output of 30 amps to power your campsite or devices. This generator can power your house too.

The Uconnect 5 system is five times stronger than before and can connect up to eight smartphones at once.

Is the Jeep Wrangler comfortable?

Yes, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler is more comfortable than ever, both on and off the pavement. For the first time, the Wrangler has 12-way power seats that are waterproof up to 34 inches. Drivers can make quick adjustments on the fly.

We drove with leather seats and cloth seats, and both were supportive and comfortable for hours of wheeling and traveling. The seat adjustments are great for people of all shapes and sizes, but the leather ones are a bit more comfortable.

New noise-reduction materials include acoustic glass, windshield surround foam, and noise-reduction carpet beans that make a noticeable difference. The Wrangler is much quieter at highway speeds and doesn’t leave your ears ringing for hours. It’s quieter than the Ford Bronco.

The air vents were moved under the radio to provide better airflow. Even when the top and doors are off in the desert heat, the AC can keep up with a refreshingly cool blast.

Is the 2024 Wrangler better for off-roading?

Yes, there are multiple upgrades that make the 2024 Jeep Wrangler even better for off-roading than before. Each model has unique changes. For example, the Willys Edition has higher fender flares, so it’s ready to be equipped with larger tires.

The 2024 Wrangler Rubicon can be equipped with a factory-installed Warren Winch with 30 feet of line and an 8,000 lb capacity. The grille was shortened to make space for the winch on the front steel bumper.

The new Dana 44 full float axle provides a smoother ride quality with extra dampening power, strength, and control.

It was also very quiet in hybrid mode, so we surprised the trail guides a few times. But the real game changer is the extra torque that’s helpful for getting out of tricky situations.

Use the new Jeep Adventure Guide to access over 3,000 trails with directions to the starting point, waypoints, distance, elevation, charging points, campsites, and a full trail map.

You can save your own trail points, and the concern summary details potential hazards, such as pin strippings.

How much can the 2024 Jeep Wrangler tow?

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler can tow up to 5,000 lbs, while the outgoing model maxes out at 3,500 lbs. This upgrade is beneficial for towing campers, and we took an Airstream trailer for a spin.

The Wrangler had no trouble getting off the line with balanced control and limited sway. Visibility could be improved, but the safety features are helpful with blind-spot alerts.

Our Wrangler only strained while attempting to increase the speed at 60 mph while climbing mountain curves. The trailer brakes feel smooth and confident for controlled stops.

Overall, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler is smooth on the pavement and quickly dampens impacts with responsive braking and direct steering. It can feel ponderous at higher speeds, but almost every single aspect has been improved. The Jeep Wrangler 4xe is a welcome addition to lineup as well, giving this fan favorite with rugged roots a modern edge.
