It’s been well known that Ring doorbell cameras capture some incredible moments. Even though nearly everyone has one, everyone seems to forget that—making recording candid tidbits even easier. That’s what happened for one woman who went viral overnight after her DoorDash driver arrived at the same time as three police officers.

The Doordash driver rang the bell and stood waiting for her to open the door to complete the delivery. Naturally, this starts the recording. It takes a few minutes, so the driver takes out his phone to scroll. As he’s waiting, three officers start walking toward the same door. The lead officer initiates the conversation, likely assuming he’s who called.

“Hi, what’s your name?” he asks, the other two officers standing behind to listen.

This is when things between the Dasher and the police become awkward

The DoorDash driver lifts the food bag to show him his intentions and answers quickly, his face becoming visibly red.

“Oh, no, I’m just DoorDash,” he answers, smiling awkwardly. The officer comes back with a “Oh, yeah, okay,” and takes a few steps backward. A few more seconds pass before the Dasher asks the question we all know the answers to.

“Are y’all going to the same place?”

The officers, obviously, didn’t answer the Dasher’s question. This made the driver look at the camera like he was Jim Halpert in The Office before the clip ended. Naturally, viewers on Dylan Anderson’s YouTube (@Dylan_Anderson) made the video even funnier with their comments.

“The cops standing back like the Dasher has jurisdiction is sending me,” wrote a viewer.

Another keen viewer pointed out the face the Dasher made at the end.

“The smirk at the door cam like your homie in school just got in trouble and you’re trying not to laugh,” they wrote.

Someone assumed the Dasher would do the customer a solid.

“He’s absolutely texting her like, “Hello, this is Steve from DoorDash I have your lemon iced tea. Also, the cops are here,” their comment read.
