Some would argue the Audi RS7 is the pinnacle of the company’s performance sedan lineup. No question, it’s one of the fastest, most luxurious cars on the market, and with a price tag of around $120,000, it’s certainly top shelf. However, if you’re one of the 23 people who feel the Audi RS7 is a bit plain or lacks exclusivity, Audi has the equivalent of a special reserve in the form of the 2022 Audi RS7 Exclusive Edition.

What’s so exclusive about the RS7 Exclusive Edition?

Like most exclusive things, it starts with appearances. Only the 23 Exclusive Edition RS7s receive Mamba Black Pearl paint combined with the Carbon Optic package and 22-inch V-spoke wheels. The monochrome effect makes the car look more sinister than just about anything on the road. It looks like something Darth Vader would drive when he’s not chasing rebels across the galaxy.

There are no options for the RS7 Exclusive Edition, however. In fact, it includes everything. In addition to the RS7’s 4.0-liter 591-horsepower twin-turbo V8, Quattro all-wheel drive, and an eight-speed transmission, it’s equipped with an air suspension, sport exhaust, and carbon-ceramic brakes with blue-painted calipers.

Inside, Sepang Blue stitching traces the diamond pattern leather throughout the interior with matching blue trim accents on the instrument panel and floor mats completing the look. Night vision and a Bang & Olufsen sound system round out the hardware.

How much will the 2022 Audi RS7 Exclusive Edition cost?

The price of the 2022 Audi RS7 Exclusive Edition is exclusive too. Audi indicates the performance car will cost $166,495 when it launches later this summer. A similarly equipped RS7 will set you back only $156,000.

There’s no denying that’s a significant sum of money. However, if it’s an exclusive performance car that you’re after, it’s hard to beat all that this exclusive Audi sedan has to offer.

“The RS 7 exclusive edition joins the Audi Sport portfolio featuring tailored design cues and standout performance. Limited to 23 units, the RS 7 exclusive edition is characterized by refined design elements on both the exterior and interior while maintaining the visceral performance capabilities of any Audi Sport product.”

Is the Audi RS7 Exclusive Edition worth buying?

The bottom line is that the Audi RS7 Exclusive Edition cost $10,000 more than the “regular” Audi RS7 with all the boxes checked and all of the features added. However, for that price, you’re getting a special trim package limited to just 23 cars. If you can afford to spend such a sum, the RS7 Exclusive Edition is most definitely worth it. But if you’re not? There are plenty of other performance-oriented cars on the market today that don’t cost quite as much.
