The 2024 Crosstrek is one of the more popular SUVs in the Subaru lineup, and it’s a subcompact SUV that was initially based on the Impreza sedan. Although the two cars shared a lot of similarities, Subaru is making a bigger effort to differentiate the Crosstrek from the Impreza. Here’s a look at the recently redesigned 2024 Subaru Crosstrek, the trim levels that Subaru is offering, and the one trim level that drivers seem to like the most right now.

Here’s a look at the trim levels on the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek

Edmunds wrote that Subaru launched the Crosstrek this year with four trim options, but a fifth and more expensive trim option will be coming later this year.

The Base trim is the standard trim, and it starts at around $25,000. It’s a fairly standard SUV, and it comes with a 7-inch touchscreen and the Japanese company’s EyeSight suite of smart safety features. That adds features like adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist to the car.

The Premium trim is next, and it starts at just over $26,000. It adds more luxury features to the car, such as hands-free keyless entry and more. Then there’s the Sport trim, which goes for $29,000. It adds a lot of sporty features as well as luxury features to the car. For example, it has heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. It also swaps out the standard 152-hp engine for a 182-hp one.

The top trim right now is the Limited, and it goes for $31,000. It has the most features, including leather upholstery, blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning, and more. The Wilderness trim is the trim that Subaru will offer later in the year. It’s designed for off-roading, and it should cost over $33,000.

Right now, the $26,000 Premium trim is the most popular option for car shoppers. Drivers might be interested in the trim because it adds a lot of useful features that the standard trim doesn’t have. For instance, this trim gets an 11.6-inch touchscreen, and that’s many inches bigger than the standard 7-inch one. Another tech upgrade that it has is a WiFi hotspot.

It also gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the standard option is the wired version of those two features. Furthermore, this trim gets access to the Crosstrek’s Optional Package. This package costs just over $2,200, and it adds features like a sunroof, heated front seats, and a heated windshield. This package also includes blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning and a few other smart safety features.

What car critics say is the best trim for the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek

Car shoppers likely think that the Premium trim provides owners with the most value for the price tag. After all, it’s not that much more expensive than the standard trim, and it gets access to optional features that the standard trim doesn’t have. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that the Premium trim is the best trim on the Crosstrek.

Car and Driver reviewed the the subcompact SUV, and the car critic said that the Sport trim was the best trim. The main reason for that is because it’s the first trim that gets access to the SUV’s more powerful engine option.

U.S. News had similar thoughts, and the site recommended the Sport trim because of the more powerful engine and the upgraded infotainment system. That said, all trims other than the Base trim comes with an 11.6-inch touchscreen, so shoppers who want a bigger screen might still like the Premium trim.
