The 2021 Maserati Ghibli Trofeo is a beautiful car that is sure to turn heads as it passes by. At the same time, this vehicle can get from 0 to 60 MPH in four seconds flat, which is also much quicker than your run-of-the-mill sedan, but slower than other high-end vehicles of this kind. The fact that the Maserati Ghibli Trofeo relies on rear-wheel drive instead of four-wheel drive likely plays a role in this phenomenon. Despite all of this, Maserati states that this model can get up to 203 MPH, an eyebrow-raising number to say the least. 

According to the Maserati website, the cheapest version of the Maserati Ghibli costs $74,390. If you want to spring for the Trofeo edition of this vehicle, it’ll cost you an extra $35,00 with a starting price of $109,890.

Maserati attached the Trofeo option to the Maserati Ghibli and Maserati Quattroporte for the first time in 2021. All three of these additions give more power and features than their non-souped-up versions, and all three come with a significantly higher price tag. 

Car and Driver points out that recent Maserati models have endured high depreciation rates in their value, potentially giving them a significant blow to sales. It seems as though releasing the Trofeo options for some Maserati vehicles is a calculated risk that Maserati hopes will yield more sales from even higher-end, affluent clients than it already does. Time will tell if they are able to pull it off, but the Maserati Ghibli Trofeo does have one major thing going for it: its unique look and feel.
