The Kia Telluride is a spacious alternative to the Hyundai Palisade

Odds are, if you’re shopping for a three-row SUV, it’s because you’re in need of a new family hauler. If that’s the case, then get ready to put the Kia Telluride at the top of your list. While this year’s Palisade is spacious, the new Kia Telluride offers up more overall passenger space for growing families. The Kia Telluride also comes standard with synthetic leather-trimmed seats, which are much more comfortable than the Palisade’s standard cloth seating surfaces.

The Kia Telluride is more than just a spacious alternative to the Hyundai Palisade. According to Consumer Reports’ data, the Kia Telluride is also the more reliable option. While the Palisade earned a four out of five predicted reliability rating, the Kia Telluride earned a perfect five out of five. According to Consumer Reports, the Telluride also earned higher scores in road tests.

The Mazda CX-9 is a fuel-efficient alternative to the new Palisade

And if you’d prefer a fuel-efficient alternative to the Hyundai Palisade? The new Mazda CX-9 is definitely worth checking out. Driven by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the EPA reports that this year’s new CX-9 is able to deliver an EPA-estimated 22 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. Opt for an all-wheel drive model, and those numbers shift to an EPA-estimated 20 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.

Unfortunately for the Hyundai Palisade, its standard V6 engine isn’t nearly as thrifty. In fact, according to the EPA, this year’s Palisade is only able to deliver an EPA-estimated 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. And when it’s equipped with all-wheel drive? The EPA reports the Hyundai Palisade delivers an EPA-estimated 19 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway.

The Kia Sorento is an affordable alternative to the Hyundai Palisade

For a cheaper alternative to the Hyundai Palisade, consider this year’s new Kia Sorento. Opt for the base model Sorento, which rings in at $29,390, or upgrade to the Kia Sorento S, which will have you spending a minimum of $31,890. For a fully-loaded Kia Sorento? You can expect to spend approximately $40,590.

But when it comes to the Hyundai Palisade? You’ll find yourself spending rather than saving. A base model Palisade runs about $32,525. Upgrade to the Palisade SEL, and you’ll be spending just over $35,000. And at its most expensive? This year’s model will have you spending a whopping $46,050.
