When we look ahead to the future of vehicles, we see a world of new electric and hybrid models coming to change the game. One of these game-changers will be the upcoming 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime. While we don’t have much information to go on yet, the information that we do have is pretty exciting.

The 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime Is Coming

We know that the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime is expected to make its debut in the summer of 2020, but we aren’t sure about how much it will cost yet.

For the most part, RAV4 models have been a lower-priced SUV option. Also, we hope that COVID 19 doesn’t cause any delays, because we’re excited to learn more about this hybrid model.

Now, if you think that the term ‘Prime’ sounds familiar, it’s because it does. The Prime title is borrowed from the Prius Prime. But where the Prius Prime was lackluster and disappointing, the RAV4 Prime may have enough power to knock your socks off.

RAV4 Prime Power

The RAV4 Prime has 83 more horsepower than the RAV4 Hybrid, giving it a total of 308 horsepower. This jump in power makes the Prime the fastest RAV4 model ever.

The Prime can accelerate from 0 to 60 in only 5.8 seconds, making it much faster than it’s competitors that take about 10 seconds to reach 60 mph.

The Mustang Mach-E can go from zero to 60 in only 3 seconds, but that’s a sports car, not a luxurious SUV.

A recently developed new high compacity Lithium-ion battery, booster converter, and powerful motor-generators give the Prime its power boost.

The Prime’s hybrid engine allows for 25 miles of driving with electric use only before the engine kicks in. It has a 31-mile range for electronic use only and a combined estimated 90 mpg. This makes the RAV4 Prime the most fuel-efficient model ever.

However, we would like to see a more extended range. We need to remember that this is a plug-in hybrid model, not a fully electric one.

RAV4 Prime Features

The RAV4 Prime seems to have combined sportiness and luxury to create a capable SUV that drives with comfort and convenience.

The Prime will be available in all-wheel drive giving it the power and torque to go through snow and other conditions. Plus, the steering wheel has paddle shifters for enhanced stability and control.

It also sits up on 18” alloy wheels with sportier headlights with a stunning LED accent and a lower front spoiler for a more defined look.

In the interior, you will find a 9” multimedia display that can connect to Alexa, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.

The unique Heads Up Display (HUD) also displays prominent information on the windshield so you can keep your eyes on the road.

Plus, the RAV4 Prime has luxurious features such as rain-sensing window wipers, heated back seats, a massive moonroof, a power liftgate, and more.

So not only does the RAV4 Prime provide new innovative fuel-saving technology, but it’s also paired with advanced luxury features and off-roading capabilities that set it ahead of the competition. We can’t way for more updates about this sporty Hybrid.
