Over the past few months, Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO, has been teasing the public and hinting toward a new and futuristic project, and, as it would turn out, Musk and Tesla actually seem to be making good headway. When Tesla first revealed their plans for the 2022 Tesla Cybertruck, some drivers and consumers may have been reluctant or hesitant to embrace the vehicle. However, Musk recently confirmed that engineering for the Cybertruck is officially complete and designs are set to go. Tesla is now preparing to order the necessary equipment to make the company’s contemporary vision truly come to life.

Part of that process will include using an 8,000-ton press for the truck’s impressive long truck bed. MotorTrend shared what Musk has disclosed with the public regarding the new model, and Musk excitedly revealed, “If we get lucky, we will be able to do a few deliveries by the end of this year. But I expect volume production to be in 2022.”
