Florida Woman Charged With Totaling Man’s Car After He Hit Her Vehicle With a Baseball Bat
A woman in Florida was arrested after she allegedly totaled a man’s car after he hit her vehicle with a baseball bat. As one does.
The alleged road rage incident occurred in West Palm Beach and the whole thing happened right in front of the police. (Side note: being a police officer in the state of Florida must be quite an adventure.)
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy witnessed a man in a black car stop in the middle of traffic. Police said his car appeared to be stalled.
Because of this, the woman who was arrested had to stop behind the black car. As she sat waiting, she began to repeatedly honk her horn at the vehicle, the criminal probable cause affidavit states.
Because of her honking, the male driver of the black car exited his vehicle with a baseball bat. He then hit the driver’s side door of the woman’s car with the bat.
He picked the wrong woman to send into road rage
After the attack, the woman then drove her vehicle around the stalled car and put her car into reverse, totaling the man’s car. She told law enforcement that she intentionally rammed his car in reverse to disable it. The woman also claimed to have learned the maneuver in a defensive driving course.
CBS 12 News reports that she was quickly arrested since, you know, she did all of this right in front of a Palm Beach County Deputy. She was charged with criminal mischief over $1,000. There was no report of the man being charged.
Many people on social media commended the woman
“SHE IS A QUEEN AND A TREASURE,” one person commented on Threads.
“Where’s her bail fund link?” someone else wrote.
“She looks rightfully pleased with herself in that picture. Good job girl!” read another comment.
“He should count his blessings she didn’t also carve her name into his leather seeeeeats,” wrote another fan.
