But, if you’re looking to make a more economical decision, you might want to consider buying used and get the 2015 Mazda3 instead. 

Driving the 2015 Mazda3 is fun

What has consistently made the Mazda3 a standout against class rivals is its driving dynamics. The 2015 Mazda3 features sporty handling and two peppy engine options. Base models have a 155-horsepower, 2.0-liter four-cylinder that doesn’t feel underpowered. The higher trims levels are equipped with a more powerful 184-hp, 2.5-liter four-cylinder. Both of these engines can be paired with a six-speed automatic or a six-speed manual.

The 2015 Mazda3 earned high predicted reliability scores based on Consumer Reports data and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the Mazda3 a perfect crash-test safety score. However, there are few trouble spots to be aware of on this model. The NHTSA has recalled the Mazda3 three times.

The first two recall actions on the 2015 Mazda3 related to its fuel system; if there was a fuel leak, it could increase the chance of a fire. In 2017, the Mazda3 was recalled for a potential issue with its parking brake. If you are seriously considering this model as your next car, just make sure that you address these issues with your auto dealer.

Right now, there are some good deals on the 2015 Mazda3. Current prices range from about $8,275 to $12,825 depending on the mileage and trim level that you pick.  Keep in mind that the hatchback variant tends to cost more.
