Electrified vehicles have become insanely trendy over the last few years, and that’s because of Tesla. Few cars rival Tesla’s focus on tech and energy efficiency. The Tesla you’re most likely to see out and about is the Model 3. But why is the Tesla Model 3 so popular?

Teslas aren’t cheap by any means, but the Model 3 is the most affordable way to get one of the company’s tech phenomenons. The lowest-priced Model 3 you can buy online is the Standard Range Plus version with rear-wheel-drive that starts at $38,990. There are also two all-wheel-drive variants to choose from: the Long Range and Performance variants, priced at $40,690, and $48,690, respectively. For the lowest possible price, you’ll have to go to a physical Tesla store to get the Standard Range trim, which is about 35K.

The Model 3 is fun to drive

Many drivers are still skeptical about how an EV performs compared to a traditional gas-driven car. That said, the Model 3 is a near-perfect example of how dynamic an EV can be. The Model 3 offers ample power and agility, similar to the BMW 3 Series. But the Model 3, of course, doesn’t require fuel. This EV also presents an impressive driving range, even on the cheapest version.

With the Standard Range Plus, you get up to 250 miles of driving range, which is suitable for most drivers. The Long Range and Performance versions have an estimated range of 322 miles. When it comes to charging the Model 3, you have a few different options. Tesla has a system of Supercharger stations that are located in urban areas. You can also charge up at public charging stations and with a home charging station.

No matter which Model 3 you choose, you’ll find that this EV is amazingly sporty and smooth. But for the most potent driving experience, you’ll want to go with the Performance trim. Another highlight is that the Model 3 also gets extra points for being both firm and comfortable.

Its interior is unmatched

The Model 3 is also a standout for its gorgeous, simplistic car cabin. It comes standard with a panoramic glass roof, which gives the cabin an ethereal feel. The Model 3 is fitted with premium faux leather upholstery, making it one of the best car cabins for vegans. As far as infotainment goes, this Tesla comes with a huge 15-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth, and navigation. Upgrades include a 14-speaker sound system and internet streaming. Unfortunately, features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto aren’t available on the Model 3

So, are there any significant downsides to the Model 3?

The Model 3 is exceptional in many ways, but there are some quality issues you should consider. Common problems on this Tesla include low paint quality and rust issues. There have also been a few extreme cases, like a Model 3’s wheel falling off
