The Toyota Corolla is a vehicle that has changed automotive history forever. Starting in 1966, the Corolla has been in production in some form. Since its inception, the Corolla name has stood for affordability, longevity, reliability, and in some cases, performance. The car’s consistency has led to skyrocketing sales year after year, with American sales numbers reaching heights of above a quarter million units sold nearly every year since 1998.

While the Corolla was initially seen as basic transportation, that notion has evolved as the Corolla evolved. Today in the modern era, the Corolla is far from basic transportation, even in its most basic, base model form. With so many technological advancements for the Corolla and so many features found in every trim level, it is hard to go wrong with any model of Corolla. If you are looking to buy a new 2023 Toyota Corolla this year, here is why you can’t go wrong with any version according to J.D. Power.

What versions of the Toyota Corolla are offered for 2023?

The 2023 Toyota Corolla comes in 12 different trim levels. With many automotive companies cutting their offerings for more profit, it seems Toyota is set on offering a wide variety of Corollas in the future.

These trim levels include the LE, which is the base model Corolla, SE, and XSE. The Corolla trim levels continue with a hybrid powertrain with the LE Hybrid, SE Hybrid, SE Infrared Hybrid, and XLE Hybrid.

The newest Corolla is also offered with a hybrid powertrain and all-wheel drive with the LE Hybrid AWD, SE Hybrid AWD, and SE Infrared Hybrid AWD. Finally, the Corolla Hatchback is back and completes the Corolla lineup with the Hatchback SE and Hatchback XSE.

With so many options available for the 2023 Toyota Corolla, it can be overwhelming to narrow your decision down to just one model, but luckily, there truly is a 2023 Corolla for every type of buyer.

What are the differences between each 2023 Toyota Corolla version?

Out of the 12 available trim levels for the Corolla, some key differences set each model apart from the rest. The base LE trim is a solid entry-level Corolla that starts at $21,550.

This Corolla comes with an 8-inch touchscreen, remote keyless entry, and automatic climate control. The SE trim adds some sporty trim with sports seats, a performance-focused CVT, and large 18-inch alloy wheels. The XSE model adds a bit of luxury to the SE trim with sport exterior trim and other luxury features like heated front seats.

The Infrared model takes the existing Corolla and adds red-trimmed exterior graphics with red interior trim accents. The top-of-the-line XLE Hybrid trim adds a power moonroof and sliding sunshade to an already impressive Hybrid Corolla.

The Corolla SE Hatchback takes the sporty CVT from the Corolla SE and brings it to the hatchback model with dynamic paddle shifters. Finally, the top-of-the-line Corolla Hatchback model is the XSE, which adds 18-inch graphite-colored wheels and integrated LED foglights, among other features.

You really can’t go wrong

While it may be intimidating to have to choose one vehicle among 12 different available trim levels, you really can’t go wrong with any 2023 Toyota Corolla model. From the basic base model LE to the sporty SE series, to the top of the line XLE Hybrid, every Toyota Corolla model has something for everyone.

More importantly, every Corolla has a perfect compromise for everyone. For example, the LE may be cheaper than an LE Hybrid, but the LE Hybrid will offer more fuel savings in the future if you can handle the investment.

Regardless of which 2023 Corolla you choose, you really can’t go wrong with any version!
