How much does the 2022 Honda Ridgeline cost?

You can get started in a 2022 Honda Ridgeline for about $37,310. This price is the MSRP, so it doesn’t include destination fees or dealership markups. The destination charge is $1,225, and dealership markups may vary based on location and inventory. 

The cheapest midsize truck is the 2022 Chevy Colorado, and it has an MSRP of $25,435. That makes it $11,875 cheaper than the Ridgeline. We didn’t include the Ford Maverick because it’s technically a compact option. 

However, you can also get a lot more truck for less because the 2022 Ford F-150 has an MSRP of $29,990. That makes F-150 $7,320 cheaper than the Ridgeline. The entry-level F-150 could be pretty barebones, but we’re shocked by the price differences. 

According to TorqueNews, critics recommend avoiding the Honda Ridgeline because it’s expensive, it’s not as capable as body-on-frame rivals, and it has a lower payload and tow rating compared to the competition. 

What comes standard with the 2022 Ridgeline? 

The 2022 Honda Ridgeline comes with a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 280 and 262 lb-ft of torque. It’s the single powertrain option, and it’s paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Moving up in trim levels won’t get you extra power. 

The Ridgeline can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 7.2 seconds, which is quick for a midsize truck. However, it can only tow up to 5,000 lbs and carry a payload up to 1,583 lbs. The 2022 Chevy Colorado can tow up to 7,700s. Plus, the compact Hyundai Santa Cruz can tow up to 5,000 lbs. 

With the Sport model, you get 18-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, and ignition, an 8-inch touchscreen, a seven-speaker sound system, LED headlights, lights in the bed, automatic tri-zone climate control, and a Class III trailer hitch with a seven-pin connector. 

Moving up in trim levels provides access to a sunroof, a power sliding rear window, leather upholstery, a wireless phone charger, roof rails, more USB ports, and truck-bed audio. 

Is the 2022 Ridgeline worth buying?

While the 2022 Honda Ridgeline is the most expensive option, it does have its fair share of perks. For example, it has standard all-wheel drive with a superior ride quality thanks to its independent rear suspension. 

The truck bed is large and versatile with a two-way tailgate. It has a big lockable in-bed trunk with a plug, so you can use it as a cooler. Simply pull the plug to drain the ice and water. 

Critics are impressed with the spacious interior with comfortable seats and plenty of upscale materials. The optional noise-reducing front windshield keeps the cabin quiet. But the Ridgeline can’t tow as much as rivals and won’t keep up with rivals while off-roading.
