Acura is the luxury arm of Honda. Like its parent company, Acura makes a lot of great cars that compete in many segments. The Japanese luxury automaker is expanding its SUV options but still has some great sedan options. Here’s a look at which Acura sedan is the best option right now.

SUVs are on the rise, but sedans still have their place for now

SUVs and trucks have dominated the American car market in the last few years, but sedans still have their place. After all, not every car shopper needs to tow cargo on a regular basis or has a family that they need to run errands for. On top of that, sedans have their own benefits, and many of them have to do with performance.

Since sedans are smaller than SUVs, they’re usually faster and easier to handle. Their small size allows them to generally have a better fuel economy. One of the main reasons why sedans still have a place in the market is pricing. Generally speaking, sedans will be cheaper than SUVs, and this also means that car shoppers can load up their sedan with more features while still keeping its price reasonable.

The 2023 Acura Integra is the best sedan option from Acura right now

An example of a sedan that can compete in the current market is the Acura Integra. MotorTrend gave it an overall score of 8.5 out of 10, making it the best option in its segment and the best Acura sedan. It starts at just over $31,000, which is relatively affordable for a luxury vehicle. That price tag also makes it competitive with many SUVs on the market.

The Japanese luxury automaker only offers one engine option for the sedan, and it’s a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. It gets 200 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque and allows the Integra to be sporty while being fuel efficient. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in 7.6 seconds, getting 30 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on highways, for 34 mpg combined.

The best part about the Integra is its interior. It’s stylish and was built with high-quality materials. The seats are comfortable and have synthetic leather upholstery as standard. The Acura sedan also starts with a 7-inch touch screen and a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster display. The automaker also gave it many standard smart safety features, including adaptive cruise control.

Acura has a few other capable luxury sedans too

While the Integra is undoubtedly the best sedan in Acura’s lineup right now, the Japanese automaker has a small sedan lineup, to begin with. This is because there’s only one other sedan in Acura’s lineup, and it’s the TLX.

The automaker had another sedan in its lineup in the last model year, the ILX, but that was the ILX’s last model year as it was discontinued. Acura also discontinued the NSX, which is a high-performance sports sedan, after the 2022 model year. The ILX and the NSX are decent options if car shoppers don’t mind buying an old model year or a used car.

The TLX is a capable car as well, though it scored worse than the Integra did in most areas. The site gave the TLX a score of 8.1 out of 10, and this made it the eighth-best option in its segment. It costs about $40,000, and it can be equipped with a powerful 355-hp V6.
