The 2022 Ford Maverick XL is the base trim level

If you want an entry-level Maverick, then the 2022 Ford Maverick XL is the way to go. This is the most affordable Maverick at $21,490 (this includes a destination fee of $1,495). With the 2022 Maverick XL, you’ll get the standard hybrid Maverick powertrain and FWD. You can opt for AWD, but you’ll have to get the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The 2022 Ford Maverick XL gets 40 mpg in the city and 33 on the highway. It has a range of over 500 miles.

Even though this is the base 2022 Ford Maverick model, you won’t be lacking for amenities. The Ford Maverick XL comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as an 8-inch touchscreen. You can pay for a Wi-Fi hot spot. The 2022 Maverick XL also comes with important safety features like forward collision warning with automatic braking.

The 2022 Maverick XLT is a step up from the XL

The 2022 Ford Maverick XLT is a step up from the 2022 Ford Maverick XL, and you’ll see the difference in the interior. According to Cars.com, the 2022 Maverick XLT also comes with 17-inch wheels, a bed storage cubby, and tie-downs for the truck bed.

If you want a touch of luxury in your Maverick XLT, you can opt for the XLT Luxury Package, which will cost you an additional $2,345 on top of the $23,775 the XLT costs. This includes heated seats and side mirrors, a spray-in bedliner, and LED lights.

The 2022 Ford Maverick Lariat costs more than the XLT

If the XLT Luxury Package isn’t enough for you, perhaps you’d like to upgrade your pickup and go for the 2022 Ford Maverick Lariat. This costs $26,985. What do you get for that much money? 18-inch wheels, an eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat, and push-button start.

There’s a Luxury Package for the Lariat, too. This costs $3,340, and will get you everything in the XL, and then some. It also includes an eigh-speaker stereo, wireless charging pad, as well as a slew of important safety features.

You can also get the 2022 Maverick Lariat First Edition, but you’ll have to have purchased the Lariat Luxury Package. Then your truck will come equipped with “unique exterior graphics, black-painted roof and mirror caps, a soft-folding bed cover and a power moonroof.”

You have even more options than the standard trim levels

You can further customize your 2022 Ford Maverick model. Want a 250-hp four-cylinder engine with all-wheel drive and the ability to tow 4,000 pounds? It’s yours for $3,305. Or you can get the Off-Road Package for the XLT or the Lariat for $800. Extra safety features are available with Ford Co-Pilot 360.

No matter which of the 2022 Maverick trim levels you select, you’re likely going to be pretty happy with your purchase. The 2022 Maverick is supposed to be a great, versatile vehicle that offers a whole lot in a small package. And with the ability to make the Maverick exactly how you want it, you’ll feel like you designed it yourself.
