Toyota Corolla Cross owners love their SUV’s appearance

Toyota Corolla Cross owners have ranked the exterior styling as their favorite aspect of their vehicle. Toyota describes the design of the Corolla Cross as a combination of the dynamic feel of an SUV with a high-quality urban appeal.

Exterior Design Leader Kenichi Okamura states that he enjoys diving and photography, and using these interests as a starting point, he wanted to design an SUV that can be used in town during the week but is still capable of meeting his needs adventuring on the weekends.

Tokiko Hirai, an exterior designer for Toyota, also states that she wanted to design a car that she would purchase herself. She also wanted to design a stylish SUV that could be sold in any country in the world. This Corolla Cross indeed had to be designed to appeal to a wide range of people while looking stylish during the work week in an urban environment. But, it’s also capable of adventures on the weekend. With these aspects in mind, it is no question why the exterior design is a favorite among owners.

What other aspects of the vehicle do owners like?

Other than exterior styling, Toyota Corolla Cross owners also enjoy their SUV’s driving feel and feeling of safety while in the car. These two aspects of the Corolla Cross can be attributed to this SUV’s familiar platform. The SUV version inherits the Corolla sedan and hatchback’s handling and drivability, which is predictable, safe, and somewhat sporty for an economy car.

Regarding safety, the Corolla Cross is among the best in its class, with the 2022 Corolla Cross receiving an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award. Standard safety features for this Corolla Cross include a rearview camera, Forward Collision Warning, Forward Automatic Emergency Braking, Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Warning, automatic high beam headlights, Rear Seat Alert, and Adaptive Cruise Control. Blind-spot monitoring, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, front and rear parking sensors, and reverse automatic emergency braking are also offered as optional equipment.

With such a dedicated design team and so many safety features, it is easy to see why owners love the Toyota Corolla Cross.
