The 2020 Honda Civic rides on a MacPhearson strut front suspension and multi-link rear suspension, and under the hood is an in-line, 4-cylinder engine with a turbocharger in EX, EX-L, and Touring.

Standard interior features of the Civic

The Civic has a comfortable interior with plenty of standard features. Although not available in the LX trim, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard in Honda Civic Sport, EX, EX-L, and Touring. Those models also feature a 7-inch touchscreen display. Bluetooth hands-free link and streaming audio are standard, and so is a center console with armrest and storage. EX and above have a 60/40 split rear bench seat, instantly adding storage options up to 15.1 cubic feet in this compact vehicle. 

Special Civic features

The Civic Sport adds a few standard features that are exclusive to this model. It has a leather-wrapped steering wheel, sport pedals, a center outlet exhaust, and 18-inch alloy wheels that show off Civic’s sportier side. The Civic Touring model brings even more to the table, with a standard satellite-linked navigation system with voice recognition, HD digital traffic, 3D renderings, lane guidance, and predictive local search.

Civic Touring also adds a 450-watt premium stereo system with 10 speakers and a subwoofer, heated front and rear seats, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and chrome door handles. 

Honda Civic standard safety features

Honda is well-known for its extensive safety features. Every Honda, including all trims of the Civic, include Honda Sensing as a standard feature. This is a suite of active safety and driver-assist features that includes a collision mitigation braking system, road departure mitigation system, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, forward collision warning, and lane-keeping assist.

The Civic comes with vehicle stability assist with traction control and an anti-lock braking system. Passive safety features include advanced airbags, child-proof rear door locks, and advanced compatibility engineered body structure. 

The 2020 Honda Civic received a 5-star safety rating from the National Highway Transportation and Safety Association (NHTSA) in their overall rating, frontal crash, side crash, and rollover. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gave it a “good” in all categories, which is their highest rating.
