One of the highest-rated vehicles to buy is the Hyundai Palisade. The three-row SUV is spacious, comfortable, and full of features. Plus, it’s surprisingly affordable for a model of its stature. If you’re interested in one, you might be waiting for the new 2023 model year version. The outgoing 2022 Hyundai Palisade is a thing of the past because the 2023 Hyundai Palisade is right around the corner. What will be different with the 2023 Hyundai Palisade?

According to Car and Driver, the new Palisade is getting a facelift. Moreover, it offers a more squared-off appearance and is enhanced in many ways. For example, the wheel designs are different, and the cabin has never-before-seen features. Things like a higher resolution 12.0-inch infotainment display, a redesigned steering wheel, and updated upholstery options are new to the Palisade. However, the 2023 Hyundai Palisade changes don’t stop there.

Brand new features to the Hyundai three-row SUV lineup include a Wi-Fi hotspot, heated third-row seats, and a massaging driver’s seat. Furthermore, a new rugged XRT model joins the Palisade lineup for the first time. It comes with 20-inch wheels, blacked-out exterior trim, and more unique design cues. C/D lists the new XRT trim at $41,845, which makes it the mid-tier model. It’s more costly than the SE and SEL but more affordable than the luxurious Limited and Calligraphy trims.

Are the new Palisade features worth it?

The buyer can only determine the value provided by the new Hyundai SUV‘s features. However, we think these are excellent new additions. Moreover, we believe Hyundai did an excellent job of shaking up the Palisade without ruining a superb model. Wi-Fi hotspots are typical in many vehicles now, although not completely necessary, so it’s nice to see that feature join the lineup.

Additionally, heated third-row seats and a massaging driver’s seat are the height of luxury. These features are only seen in expensive BMWs or Audis, not usually a $50,000 three-row Hyundai. Next, off-roading is a growing trend for every vehicle type. The Palisade XRT isn’t a Jeep Wrangler replacement, but front/rear skid plates, roof rails, larger wheels, and a more rugged look make it an improved option for dirt trails.

Changes we wish the 2023 Hyundai Palisade would get

For the most part, Hyundai did an excellent job updating the popular three-row SUV. Although the Palisade is different, it could’ve used a bit more. We wish the XRT trim were a little more off-road capable. While no one is buying a spacious, feature-filled SUV for its off-roading capability, only adding skidplates is disappointing. Sure, the exterior design cues are unique and pleasant to look at, but that doesn’t help with driving. All-terrain tires, optional driving modes, and more would’ve been excellent additions.

In conclusion, the 2023 Hyundai Palisade is worth waiting for. Many things will be different about it for the new model year. Mostly, the Palisade has a bunch of brand-new features. Things like a higher resolution infotainment display, a new steering wheel design, and exterior styling cues change the Palisade entirely. Of course, it’s then enhanced by top-tier features and the rugged XRT trim for the first time.
