Police officers in Texas sprang into action after a woman crashed and rolled her car recently, sending her and her child flying. Fortunately, the police officers were able to rescue the child from under the inverted car and perform CPR just in time. Better yet, a police body cam captured the whole thing.

Body cam footage shows the moment police officers pulled a child out from under an overturned and crashed car

A Texas woman crashed her car on a busy road in the Lone Star State. The crash was so destructive that it sent the woman and her child flying before coming to a rest on the vehicle’s roof.

Fortunately, local police showed up quickly to assist. Body cam footage captured the moment that witnesses and police lifted part of the car just enough to allow them to recover the woman’s child, who was stuck under the overturned car.

Although the child was unconscious when they recovered her, bystanders successfully resuscitated the little girl. Emergency medical personnel then transported the mom and her child to a local hospital. Both are expected to recover, per Local 10 News.

Unfortunately, crashes like this happen all too often. On average, Americans have over six million car crashes per year. Of those many, many wrecks, around 40,000 or so people die on American streets. It’s a sobering reminder to slow down, pay attention, and never drink and drive.
