An overview of the 2022 Chevy Corvette

The 2022 Chevy Corvette makes a fantastic first impression. It boasts a sporty, jaw-dropping exterior, complete with several color options to customize it to your liking. Its angular headlights and aerodynamic shape allude to power and elegance, and it’s simply hard to look away from its gorgeous design.

Inside the 2022 Corvette, you’ll find a stunning interior, fully equipped with Chevy’s latest infotainment setup and comfortable seating for the driver and passenger. The reviewers at Edmunds even deemed the Corvette “one of the more comfortable cars in its class.” They enjoyed the MagneRide adaptive suspension that absorbed many of the bumps on the road, but they did mention that it can get quite noisy inside when going over rough surfaces.

The best part about the 2022 Corvette, however, is its performance. Edmunds found that the 3LT coupe it tested could get up to 118 mph and go from zero to 60 mph in just over three seconds, thanks to its 490-hp V8 engine. If that isn’t enough to give you the adrenaline rush you desire, you can always upgrade to the Z51 performance package.

Watch a camouflaged 2023 Chevy Corvette in action

Last August, a YouTube video showed the 2023 Chevy Corvette C8 Z06 being tested at Nürburgring, a massive Motorsports complex in Germany. One of the most striking aspects of the video at its start is the aggressive hum of the engine as it speeds around, turns, and navigates the course. Aside from the camouflaged print, which looks like leopard print, the car itself looks just how a sports car of this caliber should look.

Around the 1:55 and 3:10 marks, the testers are pushing the engine past a casual cruise. The engine sounds even more heightened, and the Corvette runs an SUV off the course at the first timestamp. At the second timestamp, the Corvette proves to be so powerful that even the professional driver briefly runs off the track and has to pump the brakes on a curve.

The driver does this nearly every time the car approaches that specific turn before pushing the acceleration back into high gear. Although the 2023 Chevy Corvette won’t be released for quite some time, we still know a few details about this beast of a sportscar.

Everything else we know about the 2023

According to Car and Driver, the 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06 will come equipped with “an exotic flat-plane-crank V-8 engine”, which will make it sound and perform, unlike any other Corvette in the past. It will come with a 5.5-liter V-8 engine and paired with a flat-plane crank. It could rev at a rate of 9000 rpm and produce 600 hp.

Aside from its highly anticipated performance, the 2023 Corvette Z06 will also come with gorgeous flared fenders, humongous air scoops, and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission paired with rear-wheel drive. Some experts expect that its starting price will be somewhere around the $90,000 mark, but we won’t know for sure until its price is officially announced.

Fortunately, you won’t have to wait too much longer to get more details- the 2023 Corvette Z06 will be fully debuted on October 26th!
