Aston Martin owners, this you may want to pay attention to. A new vehicle recall has been issued for the entire DBX model range, including the brand new 2026 DBX S, concerning a serious rear suspension defect that could lead to a sudden loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. The recall was officially posted by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on 2 April 2026.
The recall affects a huge number of the British marque’s popular luxury SUVs. The specific models involved are the 2026 Aston Martin DBX S, the high-performance 2023-2026 DBX707, and the standard 2021-2024 DBX.
According to the filing, the problem originates with a pin in the torque reaction link which can potentially slide out of its position in the rear lower suspension arm. This movement can cause the suspension arm casting itself to crack or, in a worst-case scenario, shear completely.
What is the Safety Risk for Aston Martin DBX Owners?
The consequences of this mechanical failure could be horrendous. A cracked or broken rear lower suspension arm can cause a driver to lose control of the vehicle, particularly at speed or during cornering.
The failure could also lead to secondary damage to other crucial components, such as the brake lines or other parts of the suspension assembly. NHTSA explicitly states that this defect severely increases the risk of a crash, making this a matter of urgent attention for all affected owners.

How Will Aston Martin Fix the Suspension Defect?
Aston Martin has organised a remedy programme to address the fault, which will be carried out at no cost to vehicle owners.
Authorised Aston Martin service centres will inspect the rear lower suspension arms on all affected vehicles for any signs of cracking or stress. If damage is found, or as a preventative measure, the technicians will replace the lower rear arms entirely.
The bolts for the torque reaction links will also be replaced to ensure the assembly is secure. This service will be performed free of charge.
What Should Affected DBX Owners Do Now?
Aston Martin was expected to begin mailing official owner notification letters on 2 April 2026. However, owners should not wait for a letter to arrive in the post. You can, and should, immediately check if your vehicle is part of this recall. The fastest way to do this is by visiting the NHTSA recalls website and entering your car’s 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number.
If your vehicle is included, or if you have any questions, you are advised to contact Aston Martin customer service directly at 1-888-923-9988. When calling, you can reference Aston Martin’s internal number for this recall, which is RA-41-2086.
