The 2024 Ram 1500 BEV is a sleek electric pickup truck

If there’s one thing that can be said about the upcoming 2024 Ram 1500 BEV, it’s that it’s sleek and stylish. Stellantis has released exactly two images of the 2024 Ram 1500 BEV. They each show a truck that’s black and shadowy, yet with clear lines and features like illuminated badging.

The 2024 Ram 1500 BEV looks like it will be less rugged-looking than the traditional Ram 1500. This is to be expected as Ram looks to make a name for itself in the electric vehicle market. The taillights on the photo of the rear of the electric Ram truck show a departure from the traditional twin taillights, with a unifying bar that makes the new electric Ram truck look up-to-date and futuristic. This will allow it to compete with other modern electric trucks like the Tesla Cybertruck.

The electric Ram truck will use Ram’s new platform

The 2024 Ram 1500 BEV is set to be Ram’s first electric pickup truck. It will be built on Ram’s new platform. The electric Ram pickup truck should get up to 500 miles on a single charge which will make it extremely competitive. To counter other trucks’ abilities it should also be able to tow more than 10,000 pounds, which will make it attractive to traditional truck fans. In addition, the Ram electric truck is rumored to be able to charge quickly up to 150 kWh.

The Ram BEV will be fairly affordable

The 2024 Ram 1500 BEV is likely to cost around $45,000, according to Car and Driver. It may have semi-autonomous driving capabilities, which would certainly make it a rival of the Tesla Cybertruck. Car and Driver theorizes that the fact that the electric Ram is coming out after other highly-anticipated trucks like the Cybertruck, Lightning, and Silverado EV will give the Ram BEV the opportunity to fix mistakes that other manufacturers are making before it ever even hits the market.

If the 2024 Ram 1500 BEV turns out to be as fantastic as rumors and promises estimate, it will revolutionize the electric truck market. Ram is known for making solid, popular pickup trucks, and the electric Ram should be no different. It may be able to go farther on a single charge, tow as much if not more as other trucks, and charge quickly. This would change the way people think about electric pickup trucks, and it could only be for the better.
