Sometimes being at fault for a wreck can really cause charges to pile up. One truck driver from New Jersey caused a four care pile up, and now faces 28 charges. His irresponsible driving could land him in prison. 

New Jersey truck driver injures 10 people and gets 28 charges 

An 18-year-old in Mammoth Junction is facing the heat for allegedly causing a massive wreck that involved four cars. To make matters worse, he didn’t cooperate with police officers

The truck driver ran a red light at the intersection of Route 1 North and Whispering Woods Boulevard. He was allegedly fleeing the scene of another crime he committed. 

Then he crossed three lanes of traffic and hit a car on the southbound side. The car hit two other vehicles as the truck flipped, landing upright. 

According to NJ, three juveniles were in the back of the truck. They went flying and landing in a nearby field. Three adults and minors climbed out of the cab. 

The Southwest Brunswick Police Department shared that 10 people were hurt, three of which sustained serious injuries. Some were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Their current conditions are unknown. 

The driver was charged with three counts of assault by auto, seven counts of a separate charge of disorderly person offense of assault by auto, seven counts of endangering the welfare of a juvenile, five counts of endangering the welfare of another person, and six counts of employing a juvenile in the commission of a crime.
