37-year-old Texas woman is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after leading police on a multi-county chase and assaulting an officer
There are often insane stories of people trying to evade traffic stops. Sadly, it happens more often than most people think, and this action creates a dangerous situation for everyone on the road. Recently, a Texas woman went viral after she tried to run from a traffic stop and caused all sorts of mayhem. Now, she’s facing multiple charges.
She tried running from a traffic stop and learned her lesson
According to KENS 5 CBS, a police officer in Comal County recently tried to conduct a traffic stop on a Toyota SUV. We now know that Audrey Marie Schneider, 37, was the person driving the SUV. However, instead of pulling over and talking to the officer, she made the unfortunate decision to flee. Not only that, she is said to have driven erratically. This included “ramming” into multiple vehicles on the road.
Audrey continued to run from the traffic stop but eventually pulled into the Alamo Quarry Market. However, this didn’t make matters any better. The report says the woman jumped out of her Toyota SUV and ran into a store. The police officers pursuing her eventually caught up, and she started an altercation with them. She even assaulted one officer before being placed into handcuffs.
It is believed that the woman may have been driving under the influence. This is one reason she may have tried so hard to evade the traffic stop. Now, she’s facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges. Luckily, the report says no one sustained injuries during the multi-county chase. Notably, the woman also went viral because she smiled during her arrest.
