The Ford Expedition is a fuel-efficient alternative to the Toyota Sequoia

Here’s the thing, you shouldn’t expect either of these large SUVs to be fuel sippers. After all, both are SUVs. When it comes to which SUV has the edge in terms of fuel-efficiency, however, that honor goes to the Ford Expedition.

In fact, according to the EPA, you can expect this year’s new Expedition to deliver an EPA-estimated 17 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. As for the Toyota Sequoia? The EPA reports that this year’s model can only manage an EPA-estimated 13 mpg in the city and 17 mpg on the highway.

According to Kelley Blue Book, the Ford Expedition is more than a fuel-efficient alternative to the Toyota Sequoia too. As Kelley Blue Book explains, “The Expedition is far more comfortable for everyday use and offers space for those relegated to the third row.”

The Chevy Tahoe is a more modern alternative to the Toyota Sequoia

There’s no denying that the Toyota Sequoia is relatively dated. According to Car and Driver, it hasn’t been redesigned in ages. These days, that’s not a good thing. Fortunately, there are more modern alternatives to the Toyota Sequoia out there. Take, for example, the Chevy Tahoe, which Car and Driver says is the “latest and greatest” iteration of the large SUV.

Car and Driver isn’t the only one to think so, either. Kelley Blue Book added, “Since the Sequoia is aging and in need of an update, we would recommend the Tahoe as the right vehicle.”

Fortunately, that’s not the only reason to pick this year’s Tahoe as an alternative to the Toyota Sequoia. Kelley Blue Book explains that when it comes to deciding between these two SUVs, it’s the Tahoe that’s more fuel-efficient and better to drive.

The Jeep Wagoneer is a fresh alternative to the Toyota Sequoia

Say you want to be more adventurous with your next vehicle purchase. If that’s the case, you might want to consider the all-new Jeep Wagoneer as an alternative to the Toyota Sequoia. While the Toyota Sequoia has been around for kind of a while, the Jeep Wagoneer is fresh on the scene for the 2022 model year.

The Jeep Wagoneer aims to be the epitome of American luxury and makes not a single compromise when it comes to its interior too. It’s available with supple leather seating surfaces, an industry-exclusive entertainment system, a slew of advanced technologies, and a tri-pane panoramic sunroof. Fortunately, you won’t have to wait all that long to check this SUV out for yourself, either. According to Jeep, the all-new Wagoneer should arrive at dealerships this summer.

Choosing the best SUV for you doesn’t have to be difficult

Shopping for an SUV doesn’t have to be complicated. Especially if you’re on the hunt for the perfect alternative to the Toyota Sequoia. To get started, we recommend taking each of the models mentioned above out for a test drive. Once you have? You’ll likely have a much better handle on which alternative to the Toyota Sequoia is the right one for you.
