Yes, there are faster options on the market, but this one won’t disappoint. Still, readers should be aware that although some call this one of the best midsize SUVs, some customers have reported issues. Kelley Blue Book gave it a 3.1 out of 5 rating. The CX-90 starts at $38,045. 

The 2025 Nissan Rogue is also solid

People sifting through the top SUVs should consider a 2025 Nissan Rogue. As one of Nissan’s best-selling vehicles, the Rogue is a popular option for those wanting a solid combination of space and exterior looks. This one doesn’t have three rows like the 2025 Mazda CX-90, but it does seat five people. Regarding power, this isn’t one of the best midsize SUVs. It uses a turbocharged 1.3-liter engine that makes 201 horsepower. It takes about eight seconds to get from 0 to 60 miles per hour, which isn’t bad. 

This is also one of the top SUVs because it’s relatively reliable. Kelley Blue Book gave it 3.7 stars out of five and reports that 57 percent of buyers would recommend it. It’s also decently affordable, as it starts at $29,230. Still, many will look elsewhere because of the use of a CVT. 

2025 Subaru Outback

Subaru makes many of the top SUVs, and the 2025 Outback is no exception. With seating for five, this option allows people to stretch out and enjoy the ride ahead. It’s also notable for its performance. It uses a turbocharged 2.5-liter flat-4 that makes 182 horsepower with a torque of 176 lb-ft. This is also the fastest on the list, as it only takes 6.3 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour. 

It has a 3.9 out of 5 5-star customer rating from Kelley Blue Book regarding reliability. Additionally, 65 percent of buyers would recommend it to others. Still, drivers should do extensive research on any vehicle they’re considering buying. This is the case because even some of the best midsize SUVs can have issues. Of course, it’s also important to note that the 2025 model year isn’t the only solid option for these vehicles.
